Decat + straight through mid + 4" tailpipe = raspy and bangy

although the overrun on the 6 is a lot leaner so you might not get as much as a paxo..

Mine still pops and bangs with a sports cat fitted the rest is a mongoose stainless with a 3.5 inch tail pipe. Smile and I have been told by people following me its very raspy.

Just to bump this thread, I've just helped a mate fit a non resonated (single box) milltek cat back onto his fiesta ST.

It sounds frickin mad! Exactly the sound I'm after! I'm a little annoyed as it makes my setup sound shite. I know magnex are hooky but I think it sounds crap now :-(

I'm after a new setup and fast. I want it to sound exactly like a tuned 106 rallye or vtr. Is this possible?

Come on guys, I can't live with my scaffolding exhaust sound while he's out there sounding like a mini rally car

I want to keep my devil decat but I want a sporty non magnex sound to accompany it.

Thanks

Sorry boys don't realy have the cash for a maniflow setup (although I'd love one).

I've sorted myself out and here's the setup I'm running now,
Devil decat - magnex mid with box removed - 4" magnex backbox!

To say it's loud is an understatement, I doubt I'll keep the setup for long but it's good while it lasts

i used to run that setup on N/A it ruled!

need a midbox when SC'd as it'll scare mi5 into thinking they're being attacked by f22's on boost!

i use a full stainless piper system with a 3.5 tail pipe and a decat and its loud as fook. to loud to be honest.

but no pops and bangs unless the downpipe gasket fire ring is blowing, then it bangs like a latvian whore. LOL

my old milltec system sounded good but it kept falling apart. constantly splitting. got few up with welding it every 10 weeks.

Getting a little tired of my exhaust at the mo, it sounds epic when you are in full flow but for day to day driving i would prefer something quieter Yes May go back to Longlife and see what they can do.

I think I've found THE setup! Devil decat to magnex catback with the centre box removed... In other words a 2.5" straight through to a 3" backbox.

Sounds insane, so pleased. I recommend this setup highly

It's hard to explain realy, I'll get a vid up soon enough, it's loud and has a very nice crispy rasp to it. Unlike before the decat isn't really resonating into the cabin and most of the sound come from the back (obviously) my mates love it and I'm pleased with it.

Shame your cams won't fit a skimmed head or I'd be very interested.

Well I brought her after she'd been rebuilt and the previous owner said it was a light skim, not pricise enough for me to be honest. What's the different between your cams and a piper fast road regrind? As I assume a reground set would fit?

If I could I most defiantly would! How much would a full system cost then?

Also how do you make your cars flame? Beacuse mine simply wont! Im not bothered but with a full decat setup an only the backbox surely I should see some!!!
