The rack had a bit of a clean and painted a few bits for you, as well as a new gaiter.

Once you get into it then its nice just to get bits on it, and you get carried away! It soon comes together.

Glad your happyThumbs up

You're 2 days early with this picture CarlShock , looking mega bud. Carl has also replaced the heater matrix and after chatting with him today he tells me that the one he took out was the original one the car left the factory with and it was just starting to weep a bit, so we've caught it just in time. It doesn't surprise me that it's the original though as i don't think the car has ever been touched, most of the components seem to have been on there forever, now is that testament to how good original Pug parts are OR is it down to 5hit maintenance? - you decideDunno Either way i'm chuffed to fook with the progress on this so once again a massive thanks to Carl. Thumbs up Thumbs up

It is Christmas right - well happy f'in Christmas me !! Spoke to Carl today and he's happy with everything, ran it up to temperature and fan cut in fine, everything else is working as it should etc etc. I am sooooooooo happy! I know i've cheated having Carl do all the work, but to be honest i simply haven't got the time, space and more importantly the skill set to do something like this, and i take my hat off to people like Carl on here who can do most of the work themselves. Carl's done more in the last few months than i managed to get done in the last couple of years! I must say again a truely MASSIVE thanks to Carl for all the hard work he has put into my car, you are a star and a proper gent sirThumbs up This is the first time i've used Carl and i would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone who wants anything done to their car.

So in the next few weeks i'll go down and collect the car and bring it back here for the final (ish) part of the resto - a full resparay and a new set of decals. Nearly there now, can't wait to get in back on the road again. Thanks for looking.

cheers for now Thumbs up

it's quite sad really, 2 weeks away from being 52 and i was like a kid a Christmas today - SHE`S HOME!! She was delivered home today at around 2:15 courtesy of Ryan (pug_306) on his car transporter - thanks again budThumbs up I have to say Carl Chambers has done a truely fantastic job, the attention to detail is unreal, everything in the engine bay looks new, it looks like he's cleaned every single part whilst putting it all back together - massive thanks again Carl Thumbs up The rebuilt engine sounds fantastic to, really can't wait to get it on the road. So, next is a full pait job, i have a man coming over soon to discuss requirements. Not really much of an update, just had to tell someone LOL

Yeah going for a full respray, also have a new set of decals to go on when painted and a set of refurbed cyclones with new tyres as well as new headlights and rear lights and door mirrors to finish it off. Glad you like it Al, i'll get some pics up when it's done Thumbs up

Hi guys - FINALLY !!!!! Got it booked in the paint shop. Booked in for the 10th of June, no idea of how long he'll have it for though but to be honest i don't mind as long as its done right. Hopefully i'll be able to get some progress pics as he's only a mile or so from my house.

cheers for now.

Hi guys, getting really bored now with this.Angry Car is still sat in my garage!!!Thumbs down Every time I ring up its 'oh really rammed at the moment, give us a call in 3 weeks' I know people are busy, but I'm paying full money, not like I'm getting a favour really. I haven't asked them to sick it in a corner and have a go when they get chance and i'll pay him £300. Any way, for those of you who watch or know of CAR SOS on the tv, I was at Fuzz's place last Tuesday evening - they had an open evening and I was invited along by a customer of mine who happens to build all the engines on the show now. So, long story short I noticed an absolute minter of a mk1 Escort MexicoCool , got talking to the owner who turned out to be one of Fuzz's team! Any way, he'll be painting my car now as I'm totally pi55ed off with this other place, only problem is it'll be December! But to be honest, by the condition of the Mexico, it'll be well worth the wait.

cheers
