SOLD TO PETE!!!!Thumbs up

New in the box

Hello Everyone,
I came across this thread regarding our parts from PPM being sold for the Peugeot 306 by one of your Member (Takedown) “Paul Houten” or as he calls himself when he scams hard working businesses “Paul M Caro”. Unfortunately he scammed us and canceled payment for these products after we have UPS Express shipped these items and they landed in Holland!

Paul M Caro

Holland

We wanted to introduce Mr. Paul to the Peugeot community the way he really is.
Mr Paul contacted us PPM on 07.04.13 regarding Peugeot Pistons and Rods that he needed for his projects and said that he is big business and builds 40/50 engines a year, bla, bla, bla…..
Here Quote:
Hello people @ PPM

im in desperate need of a complet set of forged pistons and conrods for a 306 2.0 16v S16 engine

looking for compression ratio of 8.5:1

looking for the 86.0 or 86.5 mm

My question is , how quick can this be delivered to Holland and what is the complete price, i need this ASAP, since i cant get Wossner ones in time im willing to try yours out, if this is a succes, you have yourselve a new good customer for around 40/50 sets of Peugeot , Citroen a year to supply

Hoping to hear from you

All the best

Mr Paul insisted on fastest shipping possible like UPS Express 3 days delivery (Now we know why) we have done as he requested and told him we need payment before shipment which he has confirmed like other customers and emailed us a screenshot of his payment.

The parts left Australia and where delivered in Holland 3 days later (we still have delivery prof and UPS/Holland Police communication), unfortunately UPS could not deliver to the address he has provided and call him to rearrange delivery where he said no he will personally pick up from UPS Depot. The same day he has collected the parts wearing sunglasses and a cap (we have security CCTV footage from UPS that was forwarded to Holland Police)
I see that the parts were sold to someone here named Pete (we hope you will enjoy our parts). Pete or anyone who knows this person and can assist us with personal details like correct name, address, phone number we would appreciate it as we could forward this information to the Holland Internet Fraud Police who is investigating this matter.

Guys we would appreciate if anyone could help us out here to make sure we can stop Mr. Paul doing this to other hard working businesses out here!

Cheers
PPM

Interesting read that. There's a lesson to be learn't. Dont sent items untill payment has been recieved. Especially if the product is worth £thousands.

Surely the police can just look at who the car was registered to? There's plenty of pictures in his project thread showing his number plate...

Yes we have definitely learned a big lesson! The problem was that he has made payment and money did show up but he must of paid with credit card or something like that as he did cancel it and money was withdrawn, not sure how banking works in Holland

Has Mr Paul been in contact saying that he paid? I don't know the guy but if he was intentionally going to scam you then he probably wouldnt have plastered all sorts of incriminating info over this site... that would be silly. Maybe send him a PM on here and see if he gets back to you?

No Contact whatsoever from Mr Paul after shipment!
Well maybe he is not as smart as he thought! We only sold that kit to Holland 1x time and it is definitely him as we have first time Engraved our Logo in a Peugeot Piston (in the Top of the piston)! if you look at the picture he posted you can see for yourself.

All we want him to do is contact us and pay what he owes us and we will forget about the whole situation!

So Mr Paul if you read this please do the right thing and contact us! Pay what you owe us and we forget about this whole situation, and we can move on with our Lives!

He's a strange character!

I received an abusive email totally out of the blue

" what have you been saying about me you total f**king c**t?you need to be careful what your saying about people! i maybe in a different country but ill burn you! watch your mouth! "

If I'd done something then I'd apologise,
But when I replied nothing,..
It's a shame because I was rather impressed by his work! Dry
