Sorry i didn't mean to confuse anyone.

What i am saying is that if you have a MKII Xsara you DONT need a remap. For the 306 gti6 and rallye people do what i did and you will be fine. You will need only a good remap at the end that's all.

Plus you are all lucky to run on the early ECU!!!

I don't think the inlet tract is long enough on his tbh.

common problem with a lot of Pug engines, people don't want to spend the cash on a decent manifold, a lot don't want to accept that fact amusingly too LOL

check this for an inlet Ninja

Hope Sandy doesn't mind!

When you say not a long enough inlet tract are you referring to the inlet pulse? surely if you work it out the inlet could be shorter as long as it means the inlet pulse still hits the open valve at the correct time or am i talking out my arse? LOL

Would the length before of after the butterfly be mor important? I was on 90mm trumpets and the standard Longmans designed inlet manifold supplied by Jenvey ehrn I achieved 179 bhp. Don't yet know what power will be like after the rebuild but the priciple will still be the same I assume, sorry for resurrecting such an oldie btw.

it is indeed, but still waiting for the figures, yanni seems reluctant to share the outcome. a shame really as i would like to give it a go.

You will need to decide if it's worth it yourself really, I wouldnt base that decision on what power one person has made.
Yanni has other mods to support this conversion, cams, headwork etc so his power figure isnt going to tell you a lot of how well it would respond on a standard engine.

Have a look on a couple of the kit car forums for more info, plenty of people using bike tb's and carbs, also a few good threads on 205gtidrivers.com using triumph bodies.

Wow. I've just read the thread in full. After fitting basically the same kit today onto my standard 6 engine on oem ecu and having everyone tell me it cant be done without a after market one. I'm having masses of trouble with it tho, tomorrow I will go over this thread again and compare it to what I have done. The problems I have is it wont idle at all, stalls if you let it drop, very choppy/ erratic with the odd flame coming out of the inlet. I would put pictures up but I don't know how... HELP
