A shim sounds a good idea, where did you get yours from dave ?

Wouldnt the epoxy come off when the TB setup was forced onto the charger though phill ?

Most likely to be the best bet then, i doubt im guna find a shim in the size i want, it would have to be an inch long and about 1mm thick, and also the same size of the charger outlet

Might find it difficult if you want to fill the gap with it without a shim too, aluminium is tricky for glueing without having to fill a gap too. Hmm

Get a vernier on the outlet and the throttle body and I'll see what I've got on the shelf.

Yeah the old C30-94 inlet adapters are a bit lose because Rotrex changed the compressor housing.

Options are:

1. Shim with brass or similar
2. Weld
3. I can machine it out, sleeve it, for aproper interference fit [engineering at cost].

Good to see it coming along.

Will be impressed if you can finish the boost pipes in their current route, and make it neat.

Good luck, great to see another being born.

Smile

I can see this taking longer than i thought LOL

I have a mate taxi'ing me around 2moz afternoon for welding pipes up and such, i still dont know what to do with the connection onto the charger outlet, i have 2.5" pipes and the outlet is 2", but they aint alot of room down ther, i was thinking about haveing a 45* bend that i can get bent to 60* so it would suit the outlet and be flush, but then thers the problem of the pipe size, i'd have to get a 2" pipe and have it flared up to match the 2.5" and then get it welded on to it, i have a reducer silicone, but its simply to long to use

If i can get that done, then it could be easy going from ther on, use a 90* bend to run parralel allong the cross member, then a 180* around to the front and onto the cooler.

Easier said than done i suspect though LOL

I do weld-on sleeves for the C30-94 outlet to take it up just under 2.5".

[it's basically so 16 SWG 2.5" tube fits nicely over the weld on sleeve]

Not sure when i'll be able to send it mate, will probably have to be sat?

I'm tied up in London with my proper job Laugh

You need to dress the lip off the compressor housing, push on sleeve, weld on, then weld pipe over sleeve, here's one Imade earlier:
