Well small update....doorhandle bolted in place & door Latch screwed in place & door tried back on & it's works / closes almost like original ...
Scratch resistant fixed / bolt in Polycarb windows coming next week with McDonald's Big Mac size 210mm sliders Razz
Outside opening door handle works as standard too ...just need to cut out internal Carbon door panels for standard internal handles & bond them in & fit wire rod from door latch to internal door panel handle ...
Got a great price for spraying them Thumbs up

So far each door without Polycarb window & wing mirror & carbon door panel & handle weighs in at 7.1Kgs each so under 8.0kgs each with other bits Crazy

The complete original door with Electric windows 27.4kgs each ...so as I've already said in a earlier post should be 38kgs -39kgs for both saving ...which I think is massive saving Thumbs up

Unreal two original doors are nearly 60kgs Shock

Thank you David Thumbs up

Just made a pair of inside door hinge plates with Nuts welded onto them ...it means I can fine adjust the door hinges with them on without having to mess about inside the door holding spanners & it will spread the pressure between the hingesThumbs up

The plates are on the outside to show you how they fit Whistle

They go on the inside of the doors & the hinges bolt through the door into the welded nuts on these plates ..had to get these 1-2 mm spot on as not much movement

Used 2mm plate

Aren't they only to hold the nuts in place while the door is adjusted? Once they are on and tight the nuts/bolts will take the weight.

Nice work Damo. Looks good.
Are you going for fixed polycarb windows, or manual winders?
That's a huge weight saving whichever way you look at it!

Your 100% correct Thumbs up

The doors have two Alloy thick plates in each door where the Hinges bolt through for weight & strengh & that's sandwiched between the Kevlar / Carbon mix when manufactured .....this is only to hold the nuts from turning & allow better / safer adjustment when sprayed & Hinges only need tightening from outside & I can do that easier on my own ...doors can be a pain at times ...especially these ones Thumbs up

Gave the thin metal & tacked on nuts a quick coat of primer & black top coat ....your not going to be seeing these when the doors are fitted Whistle

PS ...the bolts are spare temporary ones put in to stop the spray going into the threads Razz

Also ...Gave them another top coat after this picture was taken ...

Well I've used Sika EBT+ to bond & bolt mine on & thanks for letting us know about the Rivnut pulling out in the first place Thumbs up

Was yours All Carbon ?....I noticed even my Rivnuts were not fitted well 100% ...so I tightened / squashed them tighter with my Rivnut hand gun Thumbs up

I weighed mine including the EBT+ bond = 2.6kgs not to bad really
