A Few Access holes for hinges & door lock areas drilled out ...look at pics below I can now be sure that the doors are 100% Kevlar Thumbs up ....
Also on the hinge areas inside thick Alloy 8mm plates have been sandwiched to reinforce the areas ..I found this out while drilling today to trial fit Passenger door I'm well pleased Thumbs up

Update & hopefully good news & pictures tomorrow of door trial fitted to a spare car

Hinges fitted ..had to move up hinges 5mm
I'll get the important Drivers side one 100% ...got a standard template off original door & they are slightly different by 5mm....no harm done ...I'll fill two holes drilled wrong ....

All cut out both sides for locks & hinges
Carbon fibre hides everything cutout

That's a carbon kevlar mix you have there Dan.
Nice material; supposedly has the strength from carbon and the impact resistance/flexibility of kevlar all rolled into one.
Looks like they did a good job of those doors.

Thank you Iain ...I'm not qualified in Kevlar or Carbon to say .....Twangy!!!!!

Fitted the passenger door to my m8s old scrap 3door ...fitted not far off original & im very impressed....it's 95% spot on without even moving the body hinges.....

Yeah, that's a carbon/kevlar mixed cloth, used to do the bodywork in the same stuff to give it a bit more impact and abrasion resistance:

Aye, well, not that one, that one sold a long time back, but ours is getting there, waiting on a digidash arriving atm and some brake pads and that's it, painting time. Probably should update the thread LOL

Thank you Smile
I really would say if they weren't brilliant & they are as stiff & flex less even at the top that gets bent out by thiefs less than my Metal ones with nothing cut out ...only small issue is getting the Hinges height 95% correct ...the distance between is easy but because no marking for them to go anywhere unlike the lock side ...and you don't have much movement to ajust them up & down ...only side to side !

I did make & take a template off original doors ...but as I've said in the earlier post I was out on both hinges by 5mm ...

The square Alloy block you can't see until you drill the holes that's sandwiched between the Kevlar is so thick & ive had to use x4 -45mm bolts to go through hinges & door thickness which I'm so pleased about ...
Now I've got the passenger side spot on I'm making a template for these doors only to reverse & sort drivers side out ..
I've contacted Tony Palfrey of Maxi Motorsport who supplied them & he's really pleased how they fit ....he's never supplied a pair of these in Kevlar before & it's always great to know what your selling Quality wish Thumbs up

The lock picture below is was all marked out by the manurfactures so easy Dremel cutout job

I'm really hoping to get them sprayed & as with my fibreglass bonnet & tailgate not be able to see they aren't Metal ....which shows how good they are made & sprayed Whistle

Holes drilled ready for door latch & handle fitting ...no key lock or lock push button will be used & as I've said no holes will show once Carbon door panels fitted ...
I'm using the original inside door opening handle system as it's easy to fit & works well & is lightweight enough......I can use
Twangy Previous door cards as a template seeing as I've cut the handles out already

I would love one but I've got a good idea how much they are & I'm
Going to need both my doors sprayed & Polycarbonate AR windows bought ....

Phil will they work easy with all the sensors not coming through the DTA ?
I know some do easy & others on the market don't ?

Big thank you Wayne Thumbs up

My Friend had a pair of handles for me off a smashed up 306 getting scrapped but forgot to tell me he removed them in a different kind of way LOL
He said the actual door surround / metal would come in handy to see size & shape I need to make mine ....he's got a point but I'm not fitting barrel locks though just the handles Thumbs up
