From a self employed view point, if you aren't told of issues you can't rectify them. You can't always guarantee right first time.

One of the bad ones was Brendan's Nile crash repair. However I'm fairly sure he never spoke to Carl about it after so how could he sort it? It's never been discussed on here and is now academic as was written off.

If you dont say it won't have a chance if being fixed. Especially 3 years on.

I, like many others, have absolutely nothing useful to add to this thread.

I also have nothing of value to add, but seeing as this thread serves zero purpose in the first place, it feels only apt that I tag something on.

Why would be people be reticent about posting their own experiences (relatively anonymously) on a forum, but comfortable PM’ing a relative stranger these “secret” feelings? Dunno

Seems suprising/unlikely

Just to add I am a normal fella going about his job, cars are hard work at the best of times and when a car has a fault it gets the customer at the wrong time mostly hence when money is tight.

I have sold a few cars and yes a few have bit me in the ass but I always try to so the right thing, I have had them do there head gasket after a short time, heater matrixs, you name it i am sure i have had all the issues one could come up with, god one even caught fire on me, even had one on a bloody log book loan (had to pay these off) but I have always tried to sort it out.

Cars can be hard work at times and yes things go wrong but I have had plenty of happy customers and have been trading on my own for ten years, we do a lot of trade work and are well known so I feel I am doing good by people.

These people who get upset etc it does get to me and makes me feel unhappy as I really am not a bad bloke out to rip people off but sometimes you just can't do enough.

That's all I will say about the matter. I like to think the people who know me know the truth.

Carl

I think that if theres something you can say about Carl, from personal experience, He does try his best to put things right if they go wrong.
Something i can confirm having had an issue with my cam seals post purchase
as well as the cat splitting.

Oh I certainly am bald, wasn't when I first started playing with cars though.

Facts are its fully documented in the projects threads, pictures are there to see, full respsray, new cooling fan etc etc, basically you had an issue never let me know and it's been boiling up inside. If I knew you had problems with me I wouldnt buy some wheels from you and rub salt in the wounds, jeez I basically transferred you money with trust you would send them?????? So you buy a car it's no good and sell it straight away for a loss?? Correct? If so you are mental mate!!!!

There's the facts. I could name a few people who have bought cars and they have had issues, they have come back and I have sorted it, all cars have faults even new ones,
