Cool

Correct, i happened to see a brand new one on Saturday, on somebody's garage floor awaiting fitment....

Thinking about it , what probably happened is when magnex went bust they outsourced the work to scorpion? Yes

but the Original And best ones are Magnex LOL Flip

EDIT- Plus they are easier to fit with only 2 mounts on back box LOL

No, Wayne's right; it's the other way around. The proper Peugeot Sport ones are the hybrid Magnex / Scorpion systems. Peugeot haven't had any commissioned since they chose to allow the 306's Group A and Group N homologations to expire in 2006.

Any 'Group A' or 'Group N' parts made after this time are non-official and may not even conform to those specifications.

It seems Peugeot Sport shopped around quite a bit for their parts though as the 106 systems were whole Magnex systems.

Tidy, although they are very similer to kad/spoox/compbrake top mounts although they have threaded holes all the way round.

Although these are proper pug sport parts!!!

Worth asking Stew at BBM if he has sorted the 306 version of these yet, the 205 ones are available and its only the outer plate that bolts to the shell that differs.

http://www.bakerbm.com/306.php

Bearings in those Pugsport ones are much bigger than compbrake and last longer.

i havent any pictures LOL

ok a written status update.

We made some more progress assembling the rallye,
Last time i touched it i was left with the headache of vaccum pipes and charcoal filters. Roll eyes
decided the bet plan P.A.O was a trip to the scrappy.
rummaging through the various french crap there i found a vaccum pipe with block connector clip on end that was perfect and a charcoal valve thing 'brown circular plastic object' that needs connecting to the loom,
upon fitting these work stopped again due to work and waiting on the previous owner to supply me the ecu and coilpacks...

A drawn out while later and i break up from work for the festive season :biggrin , i get a call from the old owner saying he has the coilpacks and "unlocked ecu" :dry
we set about fitting the parts to find out the coilpack bolts are missing Roll eyes (this kind of thing is becoming frequent now Angry )

Luckily i have the 6 parked right next to it so i set about borrowing any parts i need in order to attempt to start "La Baguette MkII"

for some reason the positive terminal doesent like my battery so we nick hovis' battery...
Now Ready for action I Gingerly Sit in the drivers seat (not before smashing head on cage for the umteenth time) insert key into ignition....breath....TURN ....it lights up = Big grin , turn again ...PRIMES! = MAHOOSIVE GRIN... One more turn..........

NOTHING ...... Cry

After some fettling with battery terminal i try again......

It turns over ...But doesent start Sad

to cut a long story short it turned out the "Unlocked ECU" was Not of the Unlocked Sort, and after unlocking the ecu from the gti6 and inserting , it started!! woohoo.

So Thanks to Rikky I now have a new ECU, KEY, HALO and IMMOB UNIT :biggrin
oh and a postie that thinks im a freak.... Thanks for that LOL

Right im now off to do some more to the car , il get some pics this time

so did ecu/chip etc work? i don't get what you were doing cos you already had it running? or did you only put one ecu into it to try, then put that back into the car it came from? thus needed a full spare from another car?

Those are the ones on mine - had a plated welded on to the shell to get rid of the strange curved profile needed for the 306 ones so these could be used.

Project is going well - hopefully see it in the flesh at some point! What does the last 10% consist of?
