IT LIVES!!!

After a few problems , the latest being the earth terminal snapped Roll eyes
We attempted to start " La baguette MKII"
upon fist starting yesterday i had a issue with the car revving upto 2-3k revs and holding there.

today i followed some advice given and checked again for air leaks.
Turned out the manifold was not tight enough Yes
so i loosened ,wiggled and retightened manifold

Sat back in seat (without smashing head on cage this time Big grin )
took a breath and fired it up......

it started revved up to just over 1k then settled !!!! YESSSS!!!

finally theres light at the end of the tunnel!

Id like to give a massive thankyou to Anyone whos helped out with advice and/or Parts so far.

i couldnt of reached todays deadline without you. Wink

NEXT UP FOR "La Baguette MKII"

.Fit spoox Wishbones
.Raise Front by 5-10mm so ican fit a jack under car LOL
.Service
.Fit masks and remove HID's
.Give it the clean of its life!! ( il let hovis do that Laugh my ass off )

Also if anyone is thinking of putting a Magnex decat on there Pugsport Exhaust System on a daily driver - DONT LOL

Its the LOUDEST setup i think ive everheard Laugh my ass off

lucky the rallye wont be a daily driver LOL

Erm? You need to show us how this is done at the Ace next time LOL

Glad to hear you've sorted it anyway. Reckon the EXHAUST is gonna be OK for trackday noise tests?

you never heard of Fist starting? Dunno

its the anchient art of pushing fist into exhaust pipe repeatedly creating enough pressure to turn the internal parts of engine to start Yes

noise tests wise i think it 'should' be ok TBH
i had the pugsport with a DIY decat on nile and it passed fine with a cheeky 4k rev Whistle

first thing i noticed was the pressure, it blows out quite hard from back pipe, more than the nile did.
its fitted with those Pug Performance mild cams, dont know it that has anything to do with it?

i think the noise outside should be ok TBH , its just inside.... i had the nle stripped for a while but it was no where near as loud inside as the rallye

the only obvious differences are the magnex decat , cage, no air filter on just yet

The first job was to fit The spoox wishbone setup.

I was astonished at the condition of the items i removed Yes
they must of been the standard items seing as the cars on circa 74K.

With those off i set about putting the spoox ones on,

Some people are of the opinion that these are crap....I can Honestly say they are talking shite Yes

these things are awesome, and as for durability i brought these second hand from a trackcar , and have since done 3 trackdays and epic mileage on them and there is no signs of wear or them giving up.
Id recommend them to Anyone Yes

looks spot on now Yes

Next up is to sort the exhaust as it has a little blow where its not joined properly then give it the clean of ts life.

Nice rallye, will keep an eye on this.
