For anyone that doesn't know this is the car I've been doing trackdays in for a while and made regular visits to the Ring with (see Ringtaxi vrs 306 vid on youtube).
The original plan was to rebuild the car to enter in class E in the LMA but after seeing my mate finish at the front consistently in his 500bhp Scooby I decided to take the car in a different direction and run in his class. To do any good in class A I'll need to lap in the same time as the latest the touring cars.
The car has been on a serious diet and my target weight is 850kg's. Even though I'm aiming for this weight I'm trying not to compromise any of the cars road/track orientation as I was happy with the way it turned out in its first incarnation and I want it to remain road legal to take back to the Ring.
Basic spec over what was already there is as follows from back to front.
Re-built beam with rear mounts removed and custom made front mounts to raise the beam in the car 37mm.
Titanium 30mm ARM
Titanium 25mm TB's
Titanium trailing arm pivot tubes
Titanium bolt on offset shim adjustable stub axles for toe and castor (these also give Maxi track)
Solution F ex-touring car shocks (not sure how good these are gonna be after back in the day touring car teams junked them and went for Penski's but I've got back up with them and I'm hoping I can make them work as they were a bas**rd to fit)
Home made bigger diameter discs with Willwood single pot callipers
Lightened beam tube (4mm machined off diameter)
Beam weighs in at 50kgs compared to a std beam which is 70kgs when its got uprated ARB's and TB's.
Fibreglass tailgate with shaped plastic glass.
Alloy fuel tank with built in swirl pot
Re-mounted Safety devices caged tied in with rear beam.
Body shell lightened wherever possible.
Heated front screen
Fiber glass bonnet
315mm bell mounted rotors with AP callipers
AP alloy master cylinder
Adjustable bias valve
Lightened 406 front uprights with titanium adaptors to restore geometry in wishbones
Extended taper roller brg bottom arms to achieve Maxi track with titanium rose joint adaptors
Titanium drive flanges
Titanium drive shafts
Titanium steering rack arms
25mm Titanium front ARB
Alloy bodied Avo mono tube coilovers mated to my own adjustable top mounts(this stuff is hasn't changed)
17 by 9 ATS wheels
Engine 400bhp transverse mounted 13b Mazda rotary engine mated to straight cut Pug box
I've got loads of other stuff planned but I'll bring you details on that at a later date.
Pics of beam ready for fitting.

"You've only got to watch the "306 vs ringtaxi" video & you soon realise how good these mod's are! That guy is running Ash's 30mm ARB, Solid Mounts & 23mm Torsion Bars & some adjustments on the camber. Admittedly, the guy is an awesome driver, but it just go's to show how well these cars can handle with the right modification's
