little update:

had a ballache changing the powersteering pump today... sunshine in the morning then showers on and off.

been driving round with no powersteering for a while as i have a feeling the gti-6 pump is specific as its slightly different?

tried to use some brass olives on the high pressure pipe but ended up re-using the old ones. any ideas where i can get some metal ones for the future?

parking is a dream now...Smile

and r888's are shocking in the wet..LOL

Might treat the beast to a quaiffe LSD next month and get to the nurburgringNinja

roll on USC Big grin

Quaiffe, power delivery is odd when it shifts from one wheel to another, round corners its great, but in a straight line it steers all over the place LOL

Definitely not needed for a low boost. No

A lightly set plate would probably be better.

On the other hand, what offset are your wheels?

Should think so yea, had the same brake setup on the last car and they where well and truely back in the wheel, well... 15mm i think, the thickness of the adapter plate for the caliper.

Why ?

I've got a tran-x in my 205 with light ramp and preload settings and it's great. As long as you use decent oil in the box, mine's pretty quiet and not snatchy at all.

First mod i'll do on any fwd performance car from now on!
