Just using Total bv 75w80 from Pug. I tried some 75w90 synthetic and the gearbox was very notchy and the diff made a proper racket. BE boxes should only be run with mineral oil apparently, something to do with the synchros. I recommend Miles at Pug racing for a Tran-x or Gripper, he'll do you a good deal! |

There are definitely quality issues with the Valeo clutch covers at the moment Heard of lots breaking lately on standard cars, let alone the charged cars. I know Birk's went the other day, mine went the week before last too, although changed it one day after work so all sorted now. At Lynx we don't fit Valeo any more for this reason, we fit something else. Hope you get her sorted soon ________________________________________ Contact Details:rich@lynxpowerengineering.co.uk 07732 822546 |

Do you think Valeo are aware of the issue Rich? Is it just a batch problem?________________________________________ Just Drive It |

I would say it's just a batch problem Not sure if they are aware of it, but surely the number of returns lately should give them some indication of a problem. Will mention it when I take mine back to GSF. ________________________________________ Contact Details:rich@lynxpowerengineering.co.uk 07732 822546 |

No issues with my standard Valeo for around 15k miles. And 14.7 quarter is a bit disappointing IMO? ________________________________________ Hit the limiter in 6th gear at 169mph (GPS - TomTom on the German autobahn). Still pulling like a train too. You should be able to break into 13s ¼ mile time with low-boost. I think Birk has?! It's all in the launch, this can account for +/- 1 second. ________________________________________ Contact Details:rich@lynxpowerengineering.co.uk 07732 822546 |

quick update... wrapped the fmic outlet to manifold boost pipe with some heat proof wrapping.. These are more ideal for exhausts i know but they give a good barrier to heat soak.. The pipework has a 2mm wall, so prone to heating up.. Noticed this at POD.. The IAT sensor is mounted on the throttle body so not ideal for any minute adjustment in actual inlet temps.. This seemed to help alot through town, but the 3" collar on the manifold meant that the shitty reducer kept popping off.. So i ordered some heavy duty mikalors and a 3"-2.5" cast reducer which should see me through some more boost eventually..... ________________________________________ Team Supercharged Gti-6NV Motorsport Automotive Performance Tuning 0121 448 7515 ECU Remapping/ DPF removal VAG/BMW Diag and Option Coding Peugeot Planet ECU coding/transponder programming etc www.nvmotorsport.com Facebook Page Project S6 |
