see your rubber tubing for your boost gauge.... could i see a picture of how you routed it?
and did you use jubilee clips to hold tubing on?
or wee few fuel line clips?

my dash boards going to be out soon for doing heater matrix planning routing things then and fitting my boost gauge

I have a electronic gauge now mate.. no vacuum pipes. But you can t-piece off the fpr and drill a hole in the passenger footwell next to the heater matrix pipes.

Are you still selling the aem boost gauges?
Mine only goes up to 20 and it's not enough Ninja
If I'd of thought upfront I wouldn't of spent £100 on one that does to 20psi!!

think you should show some pictures of your AFR gauge the wiring as mine has never worked think its due to wiring so some pictures of this would be ideal!

Chris im sure i told you at waynes. Its the smaller wireharness at the back of the gauge that slip out causing no read, the longer you leave it the more damage to o2 as it wont heat up.

P.s im not goin high boost everLOL

So...

a change in style..

first off... ASTOR is a rare colour and one that i could never have been without. Its the joys of polishing and waxing it and watching it glimmer.

But.. those days are long gone. No time to polish the car and when its on track no one really cares how many coats of carnuaba it has.

With NV taking on fully wrapping of vehicles, it was the right time to change colour without losing the ASTOR forever (in a spray booth that is)

After many hours of googling and doing some renders... it was this picture which inspired us.

Its the ease of cleaning and the subtle shimmer it has in the sun that i was looking for. Yeh its a wrap.. and if it didnt take my fancy i'd just peel it off at 60degree witghout any residue. The HEXIS material is all we use here and its their latest colour. BMW FROZEN GREY. Its like a metallic satin finish and not quite as darke as the paint version with a black undercoat.

Prep...

Trim removal and full degreasing before a 24cure

Thats the last time it will glitter!

On to the wrap.. As some of you may know, it takes up 24 man hours to do a car after prep.
We always start from the sides before the roof so we dont contaminate the panels on application.

Meanwhile our friends at Team Dynamics dropped off some direct fit SATIN BLACK 16"x7"

Had them wrapped in the best tyres for light road and track use! AD08's

Back to the wrapp

With it almost done, it was time to get it in the sun, its a crazy colour as its grey and dark in low light and glittery and metallic in the sun. Which is a lot better than i first thought.

Didnt fancy the gunmetal speedlines so tucked the TD's under the arches..

These have gotta be one of the most universal alloys on the market, they'll make anything look good.

It will be getting a few decals like our matt grey ITR DC2

Meanwhile the back bumper was getting re done at the bodyshop before a wrap.

Moving on to more track matters...

Grinding a bit of the casing just for peace of mind as we had to do it on a kaaz fit.

it came with a 205 CW so on went a shotpeened rallye one

On it went with a new powdercoated subframe and PhillipM brace which is a pain to fit in SITU as the sump gets in the way on the O/S

Although the quaife may seem overkill to most for low boost, i've had issues getting traction out of corners. With this fitted you do have to adapt your driving style (especially in the wet on the motorway overtaking on the thrid lane, poo poo on the seat moment as the torque shifts from left to right as the wheels struggle for traction on the greasy wet bumpy tarmac). But out of corners it makes the car feel like its on rails, especially with the AD08s and roller bearing bushes.

So straight line it may not be ideal on UK road conditions, but when this 6 spends 80% on track its the best investment.

Coming soon... aero dynamics maybe?

Awesome update!

Your car has always been one of my favorites on the forum, and still is. Loving the frozen grey wrap Love

An LSD isnt overkill on a low boost, they will do wonders to a standard engined six in terms of pulling it out of corners. Only thing I would say is if it now spends 80% of its life on track, why not go for a plate diff?

i knew i'd be getting some mixed feedback.. all work is done here at NV Motorsport.

A wrap on a 306 size is in the region of £1000 dependant on colour. We only use HEXIS. Unlike the cheaper graffitype etc that 90% of wrap companies use.

It was a style change decision. It can always be peeled off. Thats the joySmug
