Is that a screw not a nut holding the grille on by the bonnet catch?

Looks stunning otherwise Laugh

Have you dared to add it all up yet and find out how much it cost?

Time has come to do something with this car as it has sat in my garage since Pugfest 2009!

After all the work the only thing I didnt rebuild was the engine, and this was because I had recipts from the previous only for £3500 for and engine rebuild at Peugeot after the cambelt had broken! So I thought the engine would be fine and it had been fine, but after the car got over hauled and on the way to pugfest the engine started to knock/rattle hence why its not been used since.

Now my plan is to go racing with my 306 BTCC but after going to watch a few meetings it seems these car either win or not finish, and have only done 2 out of 9 rounds due to problems and not being easy/cheap to repair!

So the plan is to break/sell my Miami 205 GTi-6 track car, use its engine in the yellow 306 and the build it up as a track car/ back up race car to the touring car, as it can go in the same class. yes it will be a lot slower but at least it could finish if the touring car was out of action and be better than a no score. And as I have never raced ever then might even start off in this car rather than going all out in the touring car and trying to run before I can walk!

so first job was take out the half cage and get a OMP FIA bolt in cage, which is what I should have really put in right from the start! lol!

had to cut the half cage in half to get it out!;

new cage welded/bolted in;

messed all my shiney paint up though!

heater box removed and dash cut down to the bare essentials, wiring all removed as car is going to be rewired from scratch;

Rattlely engine is out, power steering ram and pipes removed, pipes on rack joined together with a bit of fluid left in,

ABS pump and pipes removed, then repiped without it, pipe into the dash for a bias valve to be fitted.

drivers side engine mount removed as the bracket on the engine wieghs over 8kgs! so a new lighter one will be made along with a new mount to mount the alternator back on. The mount to the body will be more solid and be like the touring car has got.

The nice shiney engine that came out and the one out of my 205 that will be going in
