I saw this at the weekend, didn't realise you'd been this busy! I took one look at it and really thought "oh dear" but Carl showed me what was lurking under the bonnet, that coupled with the work you've done underneath and the fact Carl says it is seriously fast, I am thoroughly impressed Thumbs up I withdraw my comments made to Carl at the time Laugh

Wow - no offence but I think this is genuinely the first car I've ever heard of that looks better from underneath than it does from on top. Laugh

Very good Smile I don't know why but im getting great satisfaction seeing such a good engine transferred into something more worthy Yes

Once you have finished some sort of costing/timescale breakdown would be good Yes Really should refurb/underseal the Rallye at some point but guess you need somewhere dry and plenty of time Unsure

Yeah at the end I will be doing a timescale and costing. Undersealing is well easy, but messy, as long as you leave it dry for a day or two then your fine, its stripping and cleaning that takes the time.Shock

I just purchsed my new rims from Halfords, I purchased some Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2 in black 15" with Kuhmo 195/50 R15 tires which will be used for the moment until I get some Toyo's.

Next week my Roll cage will be started on, so I will get some pics posted up.

Looks like a great project- and although I always loved the 'pink' 306 (although not the colour) this loks like a fantastic performance package- will be nice to have owned an awesome aesthetic 306 as well as a track slag Wink

Good luck!

Just got my roll cage ordered from custom cages (www.customcages.co.uk) so as soon as that turns up it will be welded into the car and then I can get the interior painted and finished off.

New Manual wing mirrors purchased today, roll cage is being fitted within the next 2 weeks, so I will get some pics uploaded as soon as possible.

I will then be working on the interior painting the interior, painting the roll cage and general finishing off.

It will then be off to the bodyshop to get all damage repaired and painted.

I knew that but good luck with your conversion and I hope it stays put and not like a few of the other S/C versions which recently have met with some sort of calamity.

Carl Chambers is currently fitting my Roll Cage which I have purchased from custom cages, It looks like my Dashboard will have to be cut to allow it to fit properly. No doubt Carl will do a excellent job.

Blink

So where's the 'Custom' element of this then? All the cages I've seen have been properly welded together and painted etc., that just looks like a pile of central heating pipe...what am I missing? Dunno
