my rear spoiler seeing as it puts 180kgs of weight down on the rear at 120 mph Thumbs up

How have you measured that out of interest? Using spring rates and measuring the change in ride height at 120mph with a potentiometer?

By the guy in France that made it & races with one & sells them ...I don't have a clue ...the info was needed to give Black Art Design suspension my corner weight details inc TB size / Arb size & anything that could or would affect the car at speed & John from BLack Art worked his magic as per normal Thumbs up

I'm sure we all like pictures as I do so small unusual update for me LOL

Strange change of plan that I've never really thought of or really wanted to do but kind of happened by accident...... ....I mean it's liking tattoos on others but wouldn't want one yourself LOL

Right here's the story ...Tony Palfrey of Maxi Motorsport contacted me & asked if I would be interested in a front 50mm wider each side French made bumper for my car ?....not the Maxi 75mm one.... he had this in stock & it was getting in his way he said.....it got me thinking & not only does it fit (Gnrlee = David Warrens) Splitter I have but it directs air & most important saves a fair bit of weight Thumbs up ......I'll weigh it soon unless
One of you on here has against a standard front bumper ?

Then Tony says how about some French made Kevlar Carbon front wings to match your doors ?......ooh I'm thinking .....but I said I don't want to go wide arch really but this will enable me to run better selection of tyres including going to 18s on the front & dropping the profile on the side wall ????

So then I'm thinking about the rear going a little wider & I really don't want to be Dimmaing it ....so I'm playing around with the rear with Arches Tony made to modify & bolt on as I'll cut the wing about to enable me to fit 18s & bring the rear out 20-30mm without catching it & that way the tyres wont rub the inside either ...

I want the front wider than the back as Tony / Colin & Wil De Claudio have all said for them it doesn't handlle as well with similar width front & back ?

So I'm going to bodge to put to fine a point on it with wheel spacers front & back at mo ....Wil runs 40mm spacers on the front each side with no issues on his race car ....so we will see ...I've got converted conversion 80mm wheel studs that will take that size on the front easy Thumbs up

So now for the pictures & Wings to follow in a few weeks or months ....

With Gnrlees Carbon Splitter fitted just to see Crazy

Sticks out about 2ft if I wanted it too but can ajust it

Also I've got some blocks to lower just the splitter closer to the ground & I can go upto 5 inches so it's 1inch off the tarmac if required?

So here you have it ...NOT Planned but Just kind of happened & evolved by accident ....feel free to ask or slate me with any Question about this Whistle

I'm going to have the bumper on quick release ?

40mm spacers?! fcuk that!

isn't blue book maximum 20mm? I know it is for rally.

colins front setup will give you the width you need, 18's may need tubbing of the arches, especially if you want width and low height.

as Colin said fwd chassis setups do work well with a narrower rear track than front, Tony was going to make his 205 narrower, closer to colins, front end is identical width, i think the general philosophy is get the front nailed and the back will follow Big grin

the sidewalls of a 17" are low enough, I doubt you want any less, yes the maxi's ran an 18" tyre but they were bigger than road 306's.

you may not actually find a competition tyre with a low enough sidewall.

Corrected Mei ....Wil runs 25mm spacers max allowed each side with ET10 x15s : 8js which is 30mm each size & wider tyres for 8js .....same as I'm going to try ...Thumbs up or try his LOL

I've got 16s & 17s but All my rims are ET15 standard & 18s seem to be more ready available in race / Track tyres

Tubbing the front 100%!....was with Tony today & he's doing his rear now ...

Satchell wide 50mm front 406 setup won't happen for a while if it does ?

Was it Silver 6 with orange bits ? Not having bonded blended type rear arches though only Kevlar small bolt on rear arches to just cover the wheels which will go 15-25 wider

I'm running ET15 now Mei ...so with that 15mm & 8j don't think without spacers it would make up 40-50mm?
Will try & see when wings come Thumbs up
I can get custom made wheels made no issue & not silly money either
