devere wrote: My 106 hydraulic pump is still providing resistance and feedback. Bit I run a lot of castor on the front. I would assume you will gain more feedback and resistance of you had added castor also on the corsa column. Problem with the column is the feedback gets filtered out through the big increase in friction in the UJ's and the rack/pinion itself, as they get loaded far higher than they do in a hydraulic setup ________________________________________ - Bespoke rollcages/additions/adjustments. Stupid question but Is it really worth all the hassle involved? What's so terrible about the standard PAS setup on a 306? Or is it all on aid of allowing the engine to rev a little bit more freely or weight saving etc....Don't really get it tbh still got standard PAS online just relocated to the sump. With decent suspension and roller wishbone bushes I have plenty of feedback feels like a go-cart and the pump is original so doesn't work overly well so steering isn't stupid light either. ________________________________________ Black power baby! I generally like having no PAS but when it's near the end of a stint I get pretty exhausted so could do with a bit of help. Likewise it'll make driving the car around the paddock far easier________________________________________ Rallye Race Car |

Phil ..I'm not 100% convinced yet it will do what I want ?....I'm going to fit it & try it Dan ....it's the same Momo / Boss setup as I have now ..with a lifeline Quick release steering wheel ...the only difference is this fits a Vauxhall colum & my other is Peougeot Pete ...The standard PAS pulls Power & doesn't like going to 9000 rpm m8 it gets Red hot at times ....plus more room under my bonnet with both items gone ....if its Rubbish it comes off Also Pete I did have my Standard PAS on Rich W bottom sump mount |

That's why I still run a hydraulic setup on the buggy. But, try it and see - everyone's setup is different. ________________________________________ - Bespoke rollcages/additions/adjustments. same as any other conversion, they need the lower uj welding to the corsa output shaft and suitable brackets attaching to the motor/column.306-205 wont look much different, you can use a shortened 306 lower column on a 205! got a 2.4 turn zx rack on my 205, straight on with a 205 column, no pas yet, feels fine with a bit more camber with the 309 arms, just michelin road tyres. ________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

Thanks thats what i thought. mine is heavy, really heavy running -2deg camber and a 3j diff, again its ok when at speed but on tight turns you can really feel it. Kinda in the same position as Damien if it doesnt work or isnt right itll come off but i have no option bar elec with the sump and rack i have |

If it would sort it ...I'd fit a Wheel that big Blimey my arms are big enough now without weights or steroids It's after time you feel it Chris ...no PAS is great to drive as you feel the road through the steering wheel amazing Your Like me Mike ...we arnt weak skinny Blokes ...I'm running 2.5 Camber with a 2.4 rack & 3j with race preloads & 205 DZO3gs which are like slicks but road legal ....total bas**rd at slow speed & almost unusable on the road with no PAS ...it beat the hell out of me at Prescott ... My Mechanic m8 Martin can't drive it as it is now ...so I've got to do something ASAP as he helps me loads |
