You can get the washers from a guy on eBay - I think it was Russbez who put the link up in a thread ages ago. Yes

Really don't see what's so special about the oil.... There must be a cheaper alternative but no one wants to risk ruining £1500 worth of charger to find out lol

Exactly what it says on the tin - it's a traction fluid, you can get various versions from most manufacturers, the problem is, get it wrong and it's 1500 quid...and all the different makes vary in their fade resistance, lubrication, traction map vs pressure + speed, etc, which all needs to be matched to the drive conditions.
Mind, at £110 quid a litre it's getting to where it's worth a few UOA's...

At the price of oil for these charger, no wonder people sell up quickly. LOL

Iv done a little googling on the subject of alternatives with very little success, i found the thread below that mentions that Mobil 254 jet oil is very similar.

If i can find some on willing to do it i may send some left overs off for Analysis see if they know of a match

I'm not convinced by them simply matching base stock, viscosity and a rough add pack value is worth basing 1500 quids worth of blower on, the Jet Oil has a traction co-efficient of just 0.03 for most operating temperatures for a start, most traction fluids are around 0.08 to 0.15....there are some ATF and CVT fluids that might work, if someone wanted to play without buying full barrels of proper traction fluid.

I was thinking It can't be far off ATF considerin it's based upon a planetary gear system but obviously a lot more refined and higher speeds.

Someone chuck in some TQ Dexeron III and see what happens Ninja

If you were going to try it I'd go with Dex VI over anything earlier.

How about if you can afford a few £k to do the conversion in the first place, don't be tight and spend £100 on the proper stuff. Yes

Because it's an extortionate price for 1L of oil....
If it was comprised mostly of gold and came with a free massage I'd be more inclined to say its a good deal....

Cause the proper stuff is probably £15-20 quid a litre before they slap a new sticker over the top?
