So when looking from a distance, i thought i saw a bird caught up on the back box....

Upon a closer look:

Yes, that is my mount bracket leaving two holes in the side of the box lol!! Thumbs up

I think i'll be definitely after a new system by the time my Rebate comes through!!! LOL

What brand backbox is that?

If stainless then might have a lifetime guarantee, could be worth a phone call

Nope, think they come with a service book and need to be serviced one a year to keep the guarantee valid...

Jetex with a de-cat sounds loud enough and that is meant to be a quiet setup. It gives a nice note once you get the revs up

Got a powerflow on my 6 and sounds pretty decent - but then again it was a mate that did it for me so he wanted to make sure it sounded as good as he could get it.

Again like one of the other guys said above powerflow also have a big choice in pipes and have a range in noise levels also.

When I got mine I did ask for the sound to be mild... But I must admit now that its settled in and the sound has calmed down I miss the loudness of the first week or so but now its quite mild and deep.

you also get the lifetime guarantee as well as long as you take it to be serviced annually.

I don't want my next one to be too loud, noticeable but not too loud lol.
I'll have to make some phone calls and perhaps travel to their depots in order to get an idea.
Oh and pug heaven I'm also free after work today if you wanna meet up?!

These guys know what they are doing, not far from you either. I dare say better quality than any of the shelf Jetex or Magnex.

http://torquetechnique.co.uk/wordpress/

They have made me exhaust parts.

I have a Longlife system, but I'm not very happy.

Turns out he made it 2" and he welded a flange onto my cat to connect to the centre box, no gasket just paste and the two flanges, of course this lasted about 5 minutes and when my cat died, it meant I had to f**k around welding the flange onto the new cat

Lol dropped my Gf off at her workplace... I'd rather stay out of that traffic jam hell! Big grin

Was that down to your longlife exhaust manufacture or the companies fault? surely that can't be their protocol
