Stop trying to make me ruin the thread by going off topic! Consider me out of this thread.

I find the forum really useful. I have no clue what I'm doing when building the race car so spend most of my time reading all your threads trying to figure out what I'm doing next.

Good to know I can ask questions and have useful responses, I'm really not very mechanically inclined!

Truth is, the forum has never been the same since Stan changed his avatar to a picture of himself in a gimp suit. It sends the wrong message out to Newbies, and scares potential members.

This place isnt as dead as half the other forums. Good thing about this forum its aimed a 1 specific car unlike 306oc/106owners and saxp ect.... even though not everyone owns a gti6 on here anymore, me being one of them! You still get the decent lads helping each other out and the general banter keep the place alive Smile

The only thing he should be sorting out is sticking to his word of banning people using other peoples accounts... Whistle

Thumbs up people complain about spending £5 a year but if you think of what you would wast your money on anyway £5 for a years membership is nothing. And most other forums are full of f**king bellends who think they know everything but really know f**k all! Google is their only friend Flip

Everyone has their reasons for not joining, i dont think it's just due to the cost, they'll come back in time. I used to sit in front of a computer all day for work so this was my entertainment, then my job changed, then I quit and started on my own as a mobile mechanic so not had time to do much else other than work. I last saw my Rallye about 3 months ago (it is safe in my sisters garage) and my 6 is looking very neglected too. Wait til the cold dark nights come back and it'll pick back up.

I've been browsing from time to time and there's not been much to grab people's attention and make them want to pay to take part. I just needed the PM function to work again do I could chase up some parts. Apart from that it's dead round here. I don't know what the answer is, lynch Stan maybe, or possibly a bare knuckle boxing match between Owain and Ash, but it's going to take something pretty drastic to halt the slide.

What we need is a thread update on a certain 306 race car. Whistle
