Ignoring the legalities of tread depth, how long can you safely use R888's for on track (in the dry)?

I've got a set just about on the wear markers - is it safe to push them until there is no tread left at all??

I run them till they are literally bold! Normally wear the centre more though because of overheating.

I ran a set down to the canvas, grip was truly shocking towards the end. They get to the point of no return when the tread disappears, no benefit in flogging them any more after that

Good info, thanks chaps.

Next question, has anyone run both 50 and 55 profile R888's to comment on any differences?
