What are the rough costs if you all ready had the large intercooler pipework but nothing else, obviously forged pistons, conrods and full engine overhaul, anything else.

Larger injectors, remap would be enough irrc as well as the forged bottom end but a bigger flowing fuel pump and swirl pot are options

Depends how you build and spec your high boost engine really, it cost me about 3k to do mine maybe/probably a bit more but my engine is to a high spec, you could and can get cheaper pistons and rods etc, will they last as long? Dunno

Engine - 1.5 to 2k minimum?
Swirl pot, injectors, £500?
Mapping, £400
Other bits and pieces? £££?

I'd say at least 3k

Edit: forgot about my Lsd, £550 Doh ,bet mine cost nearer to 4k Doh

Not sure yet Aaron, something in the future might come up and maybe to give it the finishing touch the car could do with going high boost possibly.

You need to ask your self, is it actually worth it for the extra 75bhp.

Low boost actually makes more torque, all the extra power is high up, therefore in real world driving they wont be much quicker.

So it's not an extra 50 lbs ft and 150 hp as stated on the lynx site?

Any one had a high and low boost side by side to see the power difference?

High boosts are 400hp i healthy so yes it is 150hp more.

Although theres the lucky few iwth 270hp low bosts too.

I would always plump up the extra $$$$ for the C38
If youre going to do it you might as well go all out.

Going super high boost won't leave you a lot of change from £10,000 hope it's worth it.
Saying that I haven't scrimped on bits, if you can do a lot of labour yourself will save you a lot of £. i always think its best to do a job once than bodge it and need to do it again. torque wise am hoping to get approx 365lbft Cool

Am also toying with the idea of high boost but need to drive one first to see if its actually worth the extra cash. Need to get mine rolling roaded but its definitely a healthy 250 bhp from all the cars it's p**sed all over so far lol. A diff is next major item on the cards (after a back axle from Jord) so will be saving up after that. Need an oil cooler as well though as she gets a bit warm when booted lol.

I beg to differ, i dare say im one of the only ones that had the high boost setup on a different rolling road for it to make 308bhp at the hubs, 350bhp at the flywheel.

And if im correct, i think ash has a high boost setup and has similar figures.

And ive raced an e36 with m3 that had 330bhp and we where very much the same untill his displacement kicked in.

I know ash is running 350ish, not sure if he is limited to power for the race series he is in?
I think he has a totally different setup and also on aftermarket ecu.

Just wondered if anyone else has had them rr and what output they got!

They don't feel 400hp quick but I did push a lotus evora s along the other day and looking at the spec of them I would say mine was faster!

They do 0-100 in 10 seconds so far from being slow!

That m3 must have had something wrong with it?!?

Ash has done this intentionally though.

Zacs is one of the earliest High boost and is 410hp (Roaded)

What dan is saying is that on a different rolling road he got different figures than at Wayne's however you could go to 20 rolling roads and would not get the same figures once!

Birk, were your pistons to richs spec? they were higher compression than standard low comp pistons.

IIRC robin was running well over 400 bhp with water/methanol injection.

if yours didn't make the power, I'd look elsewhere, as far as I know, the others have made the power.

I'm not doubting it at all, they just don't feel 400hp quick but then you look at the speedo and your into 3 figures so quickly!
I'm tempted to sell both the engines and get the c38 setup but I can't help thinking that 2 is better than 1 and maybe stick one of the lumps into a 205/309 if I get bored...

Why would you sell both engines? Won't you need one for the C38 setup?
