Some say GE ones are good, Others say that they pop off all the time....
The people who think they are good accuse the others of not tightening them enough
Cycle continues.

The 2 GE quickshifts I've fitted will definitely not come off. Maybe there's a bad batch out there that are a bit wide on the tolerance. Dunno

I've a GE Quickshift + miles linkages and its tight. Only if your mega heavy handed when shifting it might slip after a few months. Quick tighten up and its ok.

One of the ones I fitted had been tightened whilst off the car and was so tight it was a struggle to get it to fit at all. They really shouldn't slip unless they're under tightened or drilled too large. Thing I like about the GE shift as well is that it allows you some fore & aft adjustment of the gear lever position very easily. Granted it's not a particularly elegant solution but it does work.

They are still on Colin's to do list. I was pestering him about them last month when I was getting my manifold and trumpets. May be worth starting a new list to see who is still interested.

I have had the pleasure of using one in a 106 and they are just incredible. As sad as it sounds changing gear puts a smile on your face haha. Well worth the money if you are going to be using it on track

I don't think so but I believe there are a few people with them fitted to 306's?
Try giving Colin an email?

Might be worth a revival on the original for interest in getting a kit sorted. I'd be keen for one!

Pretty sure one of the things stopping the 306 kit was the fact you needed to remove the heater box to fit it and cut dashDunno
Ok for stripped out full on track cars etc, but some people interested wanted to retain heaterThumbs up

Colin has not done a "kit" for the 306, just adapted the 205 assembly to work in race cars, obviously trying to get it to work with the heater box is more time consuming but they managed ti do it well with the 106/saxo, 205 needs to lose the radio afaik but nothing else.

There is a fair bit of work to fit one to the 306, and as said, three heater box needs to come out, along wit cutting the dash about. Then you have the holes needing to be cut at the front on the exhaust tunnel. Wasn't the 5 minute job I hoped! Haha.

That said, very precise and very short.
