T4 designs do a nice selection of heaters with optional customisation. There is a picture of mine in my project three somewhere.

The smaller T7 heater is out of stock for another month. I have been looking at the bigger 3.5kw heater with side vents but not sure whether I have the room to fit it.

I got the small one outlet one with a y piece for the window screen vents and one dash vent. I got it wired up at the weekend and its plenty enough for a track car.

I've never had my plastic windows mist up, I think they change temperature much quicker than glass so it's not so much of a problem. I just have a very expensive professional fan setup that moves a bit of air over the screen, works a treat.

Out if interest What made you choose the heater over a heated screen? I'm torn between the 2 Salome the idea of a screen as its so quick but like the idea of a little heat but would rarely need the heat (apart from this weekend just gone)

I don't have a heater at all because I'm a man, just get a fan and buy some gloves.

I wanted a bit of heat cos it's bloody chilly in the winter. And to many layers are really uncomfortable n harnesses. So heat, delisting and lightweight heater. All in one. Thumbs up

I've got a heated windscreen. It worked a treat at first but i've gone and blown loads of the filaments in it with my excessive voltage. Doh

Well worth the money if you have a regular alternator and arent going to do it any damage.

As for lexan windows, mine have steamed up a few times in heavy rain, but i have no fan and rely on a single air inlet to the cabin which only works when driving along, and that only blows in my face. LOL

I was looking at heated screens but for what the heater cost and what I wanted it to do it seemed like the best option.

Lol yeah I've currently got nothing and not to bothered about the cold but felt a bit stupid trying to keep wiping the screen after steaming up.

Prism have not got standard alternator then? never tested mine to see what it's like but last thing I want to do is blow £250 on a screen to ruin it.

Compared to the price of the screen I think in total the heater set up cost about £80 plus delivery.

I have a heated windscreen on my track car, it clears nice and quick at the flick of a switch which is just what I was after.
With the one I have you can wire the two elements in series or parallel. It does suck a load of power when your wire them in parallel but clears much quicker.

Yup. You'll have to fiddle.with the pipes which comes through the bulkhead.

But apart from that. Pretty simple.

Yeah that's my thoughts either a heated screen or small kit car type heater. Definitely not refitting standard system

Let us know what its like, as i went for the micro heater as it was only to demist the screen mainly and have a small amount of available heat when needed.

The micro one is out of stock otherwise would have looked a bit more at that but I think the one I've ordered will be ok as has 4 outlets so will do 2 at the screen and 2 at the side vents to demist side windows

Hope it goes ok. I made the two holes for the window screen into one and used the middle dash vents with the small heater.
