...it got an advisory on the MOT, just a little bit near the arch...

Never trust anyone driving a Rover.
One 'small' hole to patch up after hitting it with a hammer.

I can see why they went bust LOL

It would help if it had some sort of cavity wax, but by the 45 the company was doomed and there were all sorts of jazz being deleted from the cars to save money - f**k, they even stopped painting the steel petrol tanks.

Couldn't it accidentally catch fire whilst you are welding underneath?

Now, that would have been a good idea, before I did the welding. I'm not so sure I want to do it after. Even if it is a Rover...
Gotta do the other side Tuesday, yay. Angry

At least the engine mount repairs are nice thick steel you can get a good bead going on, not wafer thin rusty s**te that disappears as soon as the arc starts...

it had feck all to do with cuts and savings the problem at rover was getting the lazy basket brummies to work, I surveyed the works before it went down the pan and the feckers were all sat in the lunch rooms from 7 to 4 in the afternoon and did about 10 mins work all day... the reason they didnt wax oil anything was because they were playing pool or were shopping in the bull ring as there mates would clock them out.... thats why it went bust, half of them had cars or bits away to build cars to sell....... my parents lived the round the corner form longbridge and they werea lways inthe pubs boasting how much they were paid to do sod all.... I am with jeremy clarkson... lazy brummie clunts... ( ps before any how dare you insult the brummies, I was born there and can speak first hand what a shower of lazy s**t they were....Big grin

Never lived there, but the experience I had using an injection moulding company in Walsall ( Best not name them ) was exactly the same, they were a complete night mare!

Mine's one of the earliest cars, it's got rust in a fair few places, I'd imagine most 306's are going to find similar over the next few years as they get to the same sort of age.
