Hi all, this wont be the most detailed project thread as i dont have the time to work full time, work on the car and write a long project thread so pictures will mainly do the talking!

I purchased this Dimma from Ireland and most of you will know that its DT x show car.
This is how it looked back in the day

A brief spec:
High boost supercharged engine
kaaz diff
rich w wishbone bearings
Vibratechnics engine and gearbox mounts
Gaz gold coilovers
Fully re-cond rear beam all powder coated with silid mounts 21mm torsion bars and hybrid anti roll bar.
Dimma wheels with r888s, split rims for road use
Nur motorsport new style front bumper and splitter
Nur motorsport carbon bonnet,roof,boot and spoiler
Revolution carbon kevlar bucketseats
6 point roll cage
flocked dash
Renault brembo 330 set up or tarox 6 pot 330 set up (i have both already)
310mm rear brake setup

Everything will be powdercoated, polished or plated

Its getting painted focus rs white inside and out with some shade of grey wheels, splitter ans cage.

the carbon will stay bare

Where did you get the rear brake setup from? No use for me but just interested!

Looks like an awesome car though, I do love Dimmas! Big grin

At work stop ATM, waiting for my cage to be made and then it's off to nur for the carbon goodies then back to body shop for paint!
Can't wait to rebuild it got lots of bits powdercoated even the exhaust heat shields have been done!
Probably over 100 man hours so far but that's trail fitting fuel and brake lines etc etc

Is the car you bought with my high boost charger kit the engine you will be using for this?

Looking good! Is there a reason you've put the brake bias valve back where the rear seats would go? Will you be able to reach it from the drivers seat?

Yep the silver 6 is still looking after the boosted engine for now!
Once the bias valve is set up I can't see a need to change it really, plus I got the lines second hand so couldn't play around with the location much

Slaved the old suspension, wheels and steering components back on ready for it to go to Bodyshop and nur


Installed floating anchor nuts for rear quarter carbon panels

Iv got new carbon panels for the dimma but I'm using the grey cars panels for templates, not sure if I want stereo in the dimma so ignor the 6x9 cutouts

You may have noticed that I haven't removed the rear bench back mounting points, this is purely so in the future if I want to go back to standard interior I can, iv removed all the standard seat mounts on the grey car and now I regret it as using a track prep'd car for a daily driver it sucks!!

Nope he hasn't got mine yet, still waiting for my cage 2 months on..
The china dimma is at nur but don't think the old cossie powered one is there ATM, he did mention that ash's was going in for rear coilover conversion but think that was for the x pug sport shell I sold him??

You will want to adjust the bias if youre on track and it starts raining, also the difference in balance on full tank and nearly empty may catch you out. I'd want it reachable if it were me.

Never driven a car with a bias valve so it's going to be a learning curve for me, how does the standard set up work on a 205 as they don't have adjustable bias valves!
Once iv done a few shake down laps of raf Odiham's airfield I'll see what needs changing and if it comes to it I will buy some new lengths of brake line and re-locate the valve to the handbrake area!

Yeah, bias valves are always positioned so they are reachable by the driver so I'd have thought there's good reason Wink

I agree with you Jim but like I said the setup is second hand so I dIdnt have much choice on the location!
For a road car the brake bias valve has to be locked so it can't be adjusted as we have just learnt whilst building a friends kit car!
For an out and out race car yes you would want to adjust it during the race however I'm not building a race car and I'm certainly not building it to any regs!
I can't imagine that I will be adjusting it for full/empty tank (circa max 50 kg of extra weight)

Does anyone else that has a bias valve change the settings???

How do older cars like 205's, golf's, nova's that have set bias valves get on.... Like I said it will be a learning curve just like the rest of the car as I can imagine it won't feel like a normall 306 due to the wide track.

I've got a bias valve on mine, never really needed to change the bias once i've set it, but then again i'm not racing in mine, just doing trackdays so not pushing it as hard.

My lever is within my reach when strapped in and i know technically for a road car this shouldnt be allowed, but it's not failed an mot on it yet. I guess it depends how anal the tester is as clearly my car isnt something i use for a daily commute.

Do older cars use the bias adjuster thing like the 306 has on the rear beam for sorting the rear brake bias out?

Iirc 205s golfs etc etc have inline bias valves that are non adjustable so don't change when fully loaded or just the driver.
The dimma will be used as a weekend/track car not as a race car so I don't think I will need to adjust it once set.

It's not mot stations that would pick up on a non locked bias valve but for an iva test it has to be locked (locknut or locking wire)

Please tell me you are going to seal your swirl pot & fuel pump in a box?
You really don't want them inside the car unless they are sealed away somewhere..
I entered a sprint years ago & they wouldn't let me run with the fuel pump inside the car
