cool, TA!

looks mint as mentioned, very much like most of his work I have seen, but the silencer is a bit small.

It might be the first pug he's done btw so could be why it's not quite right, though he has done a saxo running one of sandy's 230 bhp 1.6 16v engines and that had no noise issues on track.

Yeah im sure he can sort it, Its just the thing that worries me is personally, due to the size of the centre section , is that i cant see how its going to be quiet unless both boxes are swapped.
If you look at the photos the back box is the smallest and you would swap it first if you thought it to be too loud, But my suspicion is that even if did you would have to get the centre out still anyway
Which is obviously going to cost one of us a lot of money.
Again im sure it will be fine in the end its just trial and error i guess.

As said though, I got a real good look at it and there is no questioning the worksmanship. Its bloody lovely to look at.

When i took my car to get an exhaust made up i told them to utilise the magnex backbox and decat that i took with me, and told them i wanted it to be as quiet as possible, when i returned there was no centre box. Doh

After telling them what i had requested i got a small centre box put in, at a hefty cost to me. Still very loud but it resides on my track car now and it passes noise tests on all 105dB trackdays so not so much of an issue anymore.

Hopefully you get it sorted as i know how annoying it is when you request one thing then get something totally different, yours does look well done though. Smile

Got it back.
Its sooooo f**king epic now. Literally SPOT ON what i would want.
If i could make and exhaust note with my head and it would just magically happen it would be pretty much this.

So yeah im pleased basically.
Shockingly it has exactly the same boxes. Worked some magic with the baffles apparently, Literally half the volume from 2 to 4k with the same epic rally car/weird 'v" engine sound here after and very subtle pop type noises when coasting from 5k downwards.

Yeah top guy to be honest.
I'd recommend his work to anyone and i'll deffo be hitting him up come "i would like to bodge this cat into my exhaust" time.

how much was the exhaust BTW? I don't think I saw a figure, I know the manifolds are £600 or thereabouts...

The bargain price.. imo.
Of 450.
Considering a jetex is the best part of 300 notes without fitting, And a blueflame is 400 dead without fitting, I think thats a steal.

That is a bargain, once the 2nd hand Jetex I've got falls off then I'll be investing. That's if I don't write the thing off before then Whistle

Suspension finished (FINALLY WOOO)
I.e B8's with eibachs, New top mounts wishbone bushes ball joints etc etc
Droplinks
Tres
Arb Bushes
New Clutch and cable(Its been s**t since I had the car 40k Ago so should make a nice difference)
Lightened Flywheel
Crank seal (The car has been very slowly leaking oil from there since about 2008 on an old mot)
Gearbox mount (The last mount that hadnt been replaced yet)
Miles Gear linkages
Lower strut brace i bought from PhillipM about nine million years ago
Lower rad hose as it was a bit suspect.
And a new wheel bearing

SO basically that means my entire suspension is no older than two months, Down to every last component.
As well as all the obvious other changes and very recent exhaust, It "should" feel like a new car...

It also means operation fit that SC kit can begin Devil

Will feel a lot nicer/newer/betterCool

New clutch and cable feels spot on,and you will deffo notice the revs pick up faster with the flywheelYes
Bet you stall the car a few times though when you first get it back!Big grin

I think I would have done both wheel bearings while it was in bits thoughWink

Haha I'm fullying prepared for the stalling, Probably a combination of the clutch being light as a mofo and the bited being in a different place, And thats before the flywheel :O

I think the other might have been done before to be honest and the one that was left is the "last original"

Looking forward to seeing how well the eibachs make the front sit in relationship to the beam too!
