As title

Whats the age group of folk on here, i find obviously these cars are very affordable to buy to the young team and i have read posts on what folk are paying on insurance and like WTF how much lol

Now i will be 33 next april myself and had my cossie when i was 25 for 2 years and owned rs2000 escorts, mondeo STs etc etc

my insurance is less than £280 for its renewal fully comp

Im 31 and my ins is £500 fc with all the trimmings and mods declared. Went up alot from the 1st 6 I had which was £350 in standard guise.

i had my first one when 24 am 28 next week, and mine is currently £690 tpft with mods delcared and protection no cliams.but points on me lience

When i had mine i was 26 tpft £410, all mods declared which among other things was turbo etc

i had gti6's from the age of 19 to 22 and never paid anymore than £600 for fully comp insurance Smile

Although im young i like the fact that these cars were out of the reach of young people to start with, hence why mines got pretty much full service history was owned by people over 30 and has been maintained to a high standard with lots of bills to prove. Big grin

Plus, im a big fan of the vts/106 gti as thats what ive had before but unfortunaly they just dont get treated the same as they were much more affordable for the young uns.

I'm 30 and was paying about 370 when I had a 6 when I was about 26. I'm now paying 325 a year for a 6 engined 205 gti, but that includes breakdown cover.

This will up the average.... I am nearly 67 had my V reg 6 from new. Currently paying £220 fully comp.
Oh BTW I think I may be the 'middle age bloke' seen in Norwich by cress 87, if it was me I think I may be flattered!

I was 19 when I got my first 6 and i paid something along the lines of 650€ for the whole year, although back then the insurance ran on my fathers name. Now i'm 24 and i'm paying 550€ a year. Do you guy have the possibility to insure a 6 all risks??? As here in Luxembourg once the car is older than 10 years you can no longer insure it all risks.

Managed to get mine down to 450 this year on limited mileage. Renewal was 800. Because of the mods and where I live, I'm now 29 and had it nearly 6 years. Was paying 1800 for it standard when I 1st got it..

34 (tomorrow) and pay £788 for insurance to cover up to 12 cars, im covered to drive any car and anyone is covered to drive my cars

Rallye is insured with agree'd value so pay £325 for that
