trying to pop a piston out on a fairly stuck gti6 caliper - using compressed air, got one out... this one wont budge

anyone know off the top of their head if the hoses are the same thread as brembo braided hoses?

planning using Rallye to pop piston out on this old caliper
then rebleed brembos on rallye job done

Thanks

usually are normal M10, try pushing it in first, it may not be quite straight.

tried tapping the piston all directions with plastic mallet
squashed piston back in
WD40 everywhere, overnight been trying last two nights
piston in and out a few times wont come out past that last 10mm

can see that the internal seal is buldging out as if its not seated in place correctly
new seal kit coming but still need this f*cker out

anyone know if threads are same?

I dunno if they'll be the same where they meet the caliper but they'll be the same where the hose meets the steel pipe, could swap the caliper and hose onto the car to pop it out.

Or see if you can up the pressure on the air line.

Pretty sure all the calipers I've had, Pug and Brembo, are all standard M10 thread. My new ones were siezed, just attached it to the car, put g-clamps over the un-siezed pistons and pushed the pedal, had the piston out in seconds Yes

they are the same thread, eventually got old piston out, had to bleed brakes and pump them a fair bit to get piston out

gave a a good satisfying spirt of brake fluid as piston came out LOL
