I can completely understand you wanting it to be perfect, but what's "perfect"? You don't know as you haven't driven it.

A completely flat car is *not* necessarily what you want. If it was, people would just weld up their rear axle and have done with it.

All you'll do is end up sinking a lot of money into a car and not understanding it at all.

No bren did his all on his own, dont care if someone else has one, just worries me using t16 running gear, will have 3 lots of spare running gear but still!
And it still uses the self leveling suspension!

Yeah, there's a couple on the T16 gear about.

The one I worked on had an elite sequential 'box in and 7 series diffs front and rear.

Hi guys, I need some uprated torsion bars for my new beam, got contacted on here via a pm buy a guy that makes them. He needs to know what spring rates the fronts are so he can get the torsion bars the same. I'm getting kw variant 2 coilys. Would anyone be able to help?? I told he I don't want to do any machining to the rear arms and they have to be a direct replacement. Thanks, tom

All this information was previously posted Wink

KWs come with 343lb springs.

My guide for springs/bars selection (based on getting optimal “wheel frequency”):

Rear bars | Rear stiffness % | Front springs

20mm | 100% | 110lb (i.e. standard)
21mm | 122% | 150-180lb (i.e. Eibach 7011)
23.5mm | 191% | 300-350lb
25mm | 244% | 450lb

Rick, give it a go. This is only a guide – it depends a lot on the dampers / exact weight distribution / tyres etc.

As for ARBs – you use the ARB to tweak the handling (some people do not run them at all on 205s – I personally prefer to have them fitted), while spring rates are more a function of the weight of the car / intended use.
