I've been reading about bottoming out issues using eibachs and koni fsd shocks. They'll be AST coilovers.

MTE remap is about the same but its supposed to be a lot better than rica. No leaning out top end and no massive slug of torque low down to create pointless wheel spin. The rica maps look pretty rubbish tbh.

My brother in law has a diesel one of these. It's fairly swift for a diesel and he claims it'll do 48mpg - again not bad considering the size.
I've not driven it but have sat in it and I must say it must have one of the most comfortable seats of any car I've sat in. They're like arm chairsLaugh my ass off

^^^Yes indeed. My flange is being welded up nice and tight today. Should get a bit more than the 28mpg I managed yesterday now.

Exhaust now minus middle box and attached to turbo again.

I'm going to have to change out all the boost hoses as i've had one split on me today and have had no turbo. Think there might be a couple though as its not quite right yet. Meh.

Adam, how accurate do you find the onboard computer's average MPG? The one in our car seems suspiciously optimistic! LOL
I actually saw it reach 66mpg (and hold it) on a long motorway journey but the volume of fuel burned meant it was giving the 50-odd MPG quoted extra-urban figure.

Yeah so I hear. Got to get quite a few things sorted out first before it can really handle any more power. Need to replace quite a few of the hoses and get it to put down power!

Looking about for some replacement wheels at the moment as mine are pretty blistered and one is pretty square. Will probably refurb the current ones and sell them on after as they seem to fetch good money. Not sure if i'll stick with 17" or go to 18" yet, depends what turns up.

No more photos yet as nothing has been done to warranty them.

Quick update:

Had mostly cosmetic stuff done - new number plates, boot load cover from scrappy and a set of Volvo 17" Tethys alloys that I got cheapy cheap off ebay. Loads better condition than the old ones which will probably be kept for winter or track tyres.

Front wishbones were polybushed, new engine mount and discovered it will need a new offside driveshaft (fell apart twice). I've also found that swapping the Avon ZV5s to the rear and putting the Michelin PS3s on the front has made it loads nicer to drive.

Had a few issues, but nothing major yet. It gets tailgated more than any other car i've owned, doesn't really corner with STC on and will easily straight line most things, Clio 182/Boxster etc etc. Fun until you come to a corner! With some luck Curtis will have built the ASTs for it next week. He's been a bit busy and i'm not top of the tree. If this thing ever handles it will be a decent, practical weapon. Going to be a struggle though....

Oh and it only weighs (book) 1485kg. Quite a bit less than the 1800 I thought. Big grin

Shame the STC doesn't actually lock the rear brakes instead of dabbing them as it does a very similar thing. It would have an electronic heart attack if it did though.

PM me a cost Phil. Will get on your stickers this week Thumbs up

EML = FML

Half boost and bound to be a sensor issue. Got to replace the rear side window as I broke with an engine the other day. No suspension sorted yet either.

Not feeling the love at the moment.

Back from AST very shortly. Nearside rear suspension has massive camber compared to the other: -3.5 versus -1.5. Think there is something bent in there considering that had the flattened alloy too.

T5D5 guys are going to read the codes for nowt so its just the window and whatever that throws up.

Happy days Meh
