Yeh thats another reason i went for the 4 litre Jotun at about £45 delivered.

I dont have any brush marks as i used a foam mini roller at the time but may spray on the next project, it looks more like fine stonechip more than anything, thats how i like it Big grin

Yours looks far shinier than mine which looks great in red, not sure if mine would in dark grey though, being in a dark chassis area.

Would you like the rust bullet i have, still in original packaging at a cheaper price as i wont use it, can post pictures if u want?

No clearcoat , it's glossSmile

Rust Bullet does cover quite alot , it's pretty thin . It's a pita to keep though, as any paint left around the top of tin/lid when you reseal it goes off really hard, and you end up bending the tin/lid next time you want to use itThumbs down

Never liked the big horrible ABS unit and the amount of pipes under the bonnet tbhThumbs down also hate the stupid compensator on rear endWink then when I dropped the tank the pipes that run from rear beam to bulkhead the length of car were corroded,so this pushed me into ditching the ABSThumbs up
Also the light weightRoll eyes Rallye should never have been fitted with ABS from the factory IMOSmile

Got struts fitted:

Found the worst surface rust I've yet to find on the inner wing below ABS pump once removed,so back to bare metal and sortedThumbs up
Also had the standard 306 circle of rust around the plastic rivet that holds wheel liner inThumbs down

On other inner wing it had a circle of rust around the windscreen wash filler pipe, stupid design leaks water between the filler pipe and tank whenever you top upRoll eyes
Sealed it on refitting with some silicone to prevent water leaking/sitting around itWink

Strut brace powdercoated satin black

Just waiting a couple of parts for KAD calipers and she will be back on the roadThumbs up

Those ABS sensor teeth on the driveshaft look minty fresh.

I had the circles of rust thing too, as well as lifting paint at the edges, the Rallye engine bay paint job was a light misting at best!

I've got a Raceland strut brace (looks identical to the OMP one). It has never been on a car but the powdercoat is bubbling something fierce. Still not sure whether to put it on or get something bespoke.

Getting me worried now, but I did think this when doing it. I bought the same ones as Owain and his seem to be fine (his is the pic below mine)

But that seems to be as far in as they go, think that will be a problem? I f**king hope not Sad

If they are tight and have sealed down onto the flared copper ends you must have bought longer than standard fittingsDunno
Cause even the ones into your MC are sticking out alot further than mine.Dunno
Your T piece looks smaller than mine, so that would explain them being so far out in thatThumbs up

Yeah, they look like long ones, pug o.e and most aftermarket are pretty short, if you get the flare a bit small they can bottom out!

zx has a little hole of rot where that arch liner plastic river pushes through too!

If you have read my project thread (or any other of my thread for that matter) you will know I'm generally clue less Laugh

I message Oh-Wayne and he sent me the part numbers from what he got from CBS. I did the same and thats what I received. They are in as far as they will go, so hopefully should be ok?

I really hope so, cant be doing with any more brake issues at the minute Cry
