Pretty sure I mentioned about track rod arms when I rebuilt my vts rack Wink

Bare metal/areas where rust has been removed from I use Rust Bullet first,then the red is external non-drip glossThumbs up

Got a few bits bolted up at lastThumbs up

Tank straps powdercoated satin black,new handbrake cables/hog rings,tank strap bolts etc:






Subframe on,VTS rack and pipes:






Brake compensator bracket modified just to hold pipe:


Aux belt and auto tensioner fitted,along with un-cut PAS pipe as recommended by Carl,just needs a slight re-angle of the metal pipe near pump:

What an effort fair play to you, brilliant attention to detail.

This and the Astor that Matt Evans did are easily the 2 best resto jobs I've seen on a 306. That looks better than new I'd imagine.

Looks superb Kev and a lot of hard work there. Brilliant pics for use as reference photos Thumbs up .
I'll look at the routing of my handbrake cables as a result, but my tank straps no longer have that C-shaped section for the cable.

Will be super-easy to clean underneath your car after this as the paint is so shiny under there - just hose off!

Hmm so I think I need to get me some of this Rust Bullet stuff, is it a zinc primer kinda stuff? where do you get it from and what's coverage like?

I think my brother has some Deox C.


I wont be going quite this far, I haven't the patience LOL

This is so much more dedicated than my effort, I've just done mine so the thing doesn't turn into a pile of rust, while I turn it into some form of track car. Your restoring it more than tidying it! I can't own nice things like this, I would just break it LOL

Love it, this have got me wanting to do my Rallye to be honest, as I can't be arsed I thought I would crack on with my 205 resto and get the bloody thing built up and finished.

Top job although i do spot brush marks lol.

I have some rust bullet Welshpug, its not been touched part from opening the lid. I prefer to use sea proof epoxy myself.

I cant remember how much it cost but if you want it i'll lower the original price a bit then add postage.
