I got my car weighed the other day on a scales weighing each wheel. The distribution is shackingly bad. Front right wheel has 390kg but the rear right is only 125 kg. The other 2 wheels are somewhere in between. The car being stripped out may not help this but has anyone any tips on moving weight about without adding any? Get me?

Ok from what my little knoledge tells me I can move the battery to the rear which will help a bit. Is there anything in around the engine bay which I don't need. Aircon and pump is already gone!

You can even out the corner weights side to side by setting the suspension height. My corner weights were (¼ tank of petrol):

FL -- 351 FR -- 356
RL -- 169 RR -- 185

Total: 1062

Yes, the reason is, your car is front-wheel-drive, and front engined. I don't know if you'd noticed? Razz

It is! The amazing thing is that it was done with just a tape measure – was a bit of a surprise when I saw the readings on the scales.

This has been something ive wondered about on my standard rallye - wont such a weight distribution (regardless of what the car is carrying) mean that tyre pressures should be adjusted accordingly? i.e. 36 front, 32 rear? Does anyone worry about this?

That guy is running Ash's 30mm ARB, Solid Mounts & 23mm Torsion Bars & some adjustments on the camber. Admittedly, the guy is an awesome driver, but it just go's to show how well these cars can handle with the right modification's

A lightweight carbon or fibreglass bonnet will help, I think you save somewhere around 15kg's in just the right place.
That, moving the battery and getting rid of the apparently really heavy slab of sound dampening thats up against the firewall should help quite a bit.

Until you add a driver Wink still Dennis is'nt exactly a bloater so impressive result all the same. And with a passenger will work nicely too.
