Well after getting all the bits and trying to do the conversion myself, the lack of time meant i decided to just buy Adam bs readily made conversion from Hanpug/Ad. (did you get the speedo working Adam? LOL )

So after work tonight il be taking the short trip to Wolverhampton to collect it all. Hoping its all up and running by the end of the bank holiday.

The not so good part after leaving the deposit on a sunday night, i went to work on the monday to find work is closing and im being made redundant. So have to see how long i can afford to keep it.

May have to start a project thread as over the last few months i aquired a number of things.

Valeo black masks
New fogs
Second hand beam
And a few other bits and bobs

Not quite sure what expect power wise what can it be compared to?

Was thinking of a car with similar horse power being a civic type r. Obviously it will be alot different. Just not sure how? Obviously lots of torque and wont have to rev the tits off it. LOL

I've been out in it a few times, but it's difficult to say how quick it is compared to another car. On the Pugrun, it was easily quicker than a low boost s/c 6, based on what I saw anyway.

It's a tricky comparison to make though, much comes down to driver etc and public roads aren't really the place for racing either. Will be interesting to see what you think of it though.

Well its 200kg less easily than the coupe so quite a bit quicker. You don't have to wait for it to take off - it just does from no revs.

Speedo worked fine - was slightly out due to wheel size but not too bad. It shouldn't be too difficult to put into your car. If you keep the random home made induction pipe it sounds awesome from 5500 t0 6500 rpm. Really awesome.

A lot of my speed on the pugrun was also due to the suspension and brakes though Jon. It wasn't slow though that thing, quite a bit quicker than the impreza.

Yes they do, but they have the same torque and the quoted figures for both are usually on the low side.
Its the earlier engine mostly due to the wiring - it made 202BHp and 202lbft on a very conservative dyno and trust me that it isn't slow.Wink

Just dropped a standard RS engine into it so will shortly be back on the road.

yes i know, i have one LOL

but there is a difference between the engines. The 210s tend to produce more like 2115-220 standard so another 10-15bhp. They also give another 3-4mpg on average. Plus if im informed correctly, as the newer engines are basically a clio v6 engines (variable valve timing etc) then you can shove v6 cams in and get near 250bhp with remap...

Hoping this doesnt warrant a project thread LOL bit of work to do.

Saw adamb's old rallye and also CUJ's. Like a peugeot specialists in Ad's garage the amount of bits LOL

Hope you enjoy the car, certainly should do! Quite tempted to throw a V6 lump in my Rallye. Wonder what they'd sound like on ITBs... Hmm

with the way the inlets sit im not sure you would get them in

they look quite eas to getr ITB's on, just not nestlesd in the vee.


loking at the rr printouts its easy to see why the V6 can match the low boost s/c's, so much more instant punch available from low revs, no waiting for boost/revs to arrive.

Was definatly partly to do with the suspension on the charged cars.

Good to meet you fella. Good luck with the conversion. Will be a plug and play job once the clutch arm is repaired. Get a Vid up once its finished.

Will do mate, think we are going to use the engine i already have less miles and looks abit tidier. Maybe develop the clutch a little at a later date.
