There seems to be some disparity between forums about these wheels. On here, a search would largely suggest they are aluminium. Where as on the 106 forum, and indeed some 'for sale' items ive seen over the years on the net, it would suggest they are in fact magnesium.

Does anyone actually KNOW?

I can't see anyway that Citroën would ever use magnesium! The wheels would be worth more than the car :-s

Aluminium alloy (i.e, there's a tiny little bit of magnesium in...)

I thought I read on here they weigh the same...may of been referring to the gti6 steelies?

800kg hey? To think everybody wastes time stripping the interior, you can just change alloys and save over two tonnes Wink

yeah, gti6 steelie's are "steel" c5 steelies are "alloy"

i dont know the exact weight but to give a comparsiion

pro TD 1.2 are about 6kg
speedline 205 gti wheels are 8kg's
smr 205 gti are 9.1kg's

i would expect the cyclone to be around the 9kg mark Big grin

you need the ones with the taper bolts, the early flat seated type were recalled due to cracking.
