Don't forget they have a gearbox inside them, so the 10,000rpm input shaft speed gets turned into near 100,000rpm exit turbine speed similar to a turbo. Yes

So as you can see, you are limited on pulley size to be able to keep the charger happy and reliable at the top engine rpm operating range. Yes

IMO, there is no point trying to cram in some boost at 2.5k with a small pulley size only to find you have to have a rev limit of 6.5k as otherwise the charger will fail...

Fatlapit I think you are getting confused mate.
High boosts rev to about 8 k
low booost around 7.5
We are talking about changing the pulley size to get more power lower down
but that means you would need to limit the rev's lower to prevent the SC from spinning at silly speeds

i think if you wanted a minimal laggy engine boosted i think the most suitable engine would be a quad rotor boosted engine i belive
