Hiya

How much for the gasket and a set of matching APR head bolts?

£120 for the gasket, with our own bolts.

We can supply ARP studs (they don't do bolts) but they are about £275 on their own and not worth it.

There's plenty of engines using this setup with 400-450 BHP and it's more than upto the job...

Cheers,
Rich.

Thats saved me a bit of money then, thought the ARP studs would be needed without question!

But if your bolts are good enough for your beast then they will be more than enough for my project.

Yes, it will be good for a turbo, the cylinder pressures will be very similar to that of the high-boost supercharged cars, and there's plenty of those using this gasket set Yes

Cost would be 150 GBP delivered to Denmark Smile

They will be fine as long as your pistons don't protrude above the deck @ TDC?

That's fair enough. If need be, I could machine a gasket out to a larger bore - 88mm or whatever you require.

There would be an additional cost for this though, so it might not make it viable for you though.

The option is there should you need it...

Rich

I may just be after one of these.

Think the rallye has finally given up on me so will be doing the usually compression tests and the like in a few weeks when I have time and go from there.

Is this any thicker than a standard gasket?

No worries.

It's standard thickness.

A compression test won't really so much unless it's gone between cylinders, they seem to go more between the water jacket and a cylinder, so do a hydrocarbon on the coolant too Smile

Yeah, Ive a feeling its between a cylinder and the water systems as the coolent keeps pressuring up and forcing past the rad cap. Been like it for years but more recently its been firing on 3 on start up and generally a little rough, plus the water is getting pushed past the cap much quicker so time to get my hands dirty.
