It's probably possible that you could chop the 6 one up, it'll be better to use as most 205 DP's have a split down the middle.

I was looking at your bottom pulley, it looks alot different to mine, is it a std 6 one?

Its a genuine Magnex Decat pipe mate, just a case of getting the rest of the system shortened to match and welded in place.

As for the Bottom Pulley, as far as i'm aware its OE mate

Right, Brakes....

I'm currently running the Standard GTi-6 Front Brake setup, coupled with a 406 Non-ABS Master Cylinder. I've replaced the Amp Valve above the Vac Pump as it was in a few bits :S and i've bled the system today with a mate.

Now, without the engine running, pressure is there and the pedal is solid, yet upon starting the engine, the pedal sinks to the floor. There is very little pressure at the end of the travel, but when i turn off the engine, the pressure is back!???

I've read about adjusting the pushrod in the Servo but would a 1-2mm (22.2mm - 24.2mm adjustment range IIRC) really make such a difference considering the pedal travels a good few inches further? (4-5")

Any help or opinions would be greatly appreciated

Thats odd...

Whats this amp valve you talk about?

I've got 307 hdi brakes on 406 mc, didnt change anything just bolted it on an it worked.

Is this existing setup a 1.9 or 1.6 system?

The amplifier valve is the small plastic black and white piece that takes the vac off the pump. It links into the inlet manifold and the servo.

The system is a 1.6 Paul.

It does sound like there is air in there still, I had a similar problem and had to bleed the bottom 2 pipes on the MC first and then bleed the 2 pipes near(er) to the engine. This was doing them at the same time.

How long did you allow the fluid to p!ss out for?

I take it you have 4 pipes coming out and no blanking plugs

I see rule out air then, sounds like a faulty MC.

Is it new or s/h?

Its never been a "half-arsed" attempt mate, but I fully understand your point. I appreciate your help thus far and i'm sure over time i'll drop you a PM or three.

I'll phone Peugeot tomorrow and get it ordered in. If it doesn't sure the problem, at least i can tick it off the list, meaning i'm one step closer to having it on the road

DOH, LOL

But the 306 D/P do fit but it doesn;t fit well if you know what I mean, Easy way is just use a re-angled manifold and 205 D/P without the split in and job done and no driveshaft issue's either

i run a 205 D/P with split, and never caused me any issues Big grin

i reangled mine a second time, after i mounted the engine in it's not position and i cut the split out, as not much was holting it on.

DOH on rear brakes, easy fix though Big grin

i would get some GKN shaft's fit and forget Big grin

i persoannly would not use the STD fuel lines to then fuel rail, as they prone to leaking,

if you are going to use them, put come jubilee clips on them Big grin

Right! Time for a mini-update i guess:

I'm still struggling with the brakes! They just don't want to play ball at all.

I've bled them, front AND rear, starting with the furthest nipple from the M/C and working forwards. I've changed over the vac pump amp valve which was cracked. I've double checked all the lines go to opposite corners on each side of the M/C. I've adjusted the pushrod in the servo, and now i'm all out of ideas...

Other than that its done. The exhaust is fitted, it holds both water and water temp (fans cut in), hold both oil and oil temp. Its finished, bar the f**king brakes!

Any ideas???

Are there 4 lines coming out the MC? No blanking plugs that could be holding air behind it.

Are you using the one man bleeding kit or a mate helping you?

Bias valve is all I can suggest otherwise

Err nothing like the fronts I guess? Its reasonably slow in comparison. They are drums though if that makes a difference?
