Hello all, my 21 year old '6' engine mount needs replacing, not having much luck in sourcing a new one. Are pre 97 ones and year 2000 ones the same?. Or is the same engine mount used on other cars too. Thanks Rouben. |

That's what I am hoping, it could be just the damping or resonance characteristics which may be different for engines, but I think mechanically they should still fit. |

The main engine mount (top, drivers side) is the same for GTi, XSi, 1.8 & the diesels (so XU block stuff). The 1.4 and 1.6 TU engine have a different part number. It's worth getting genuine or something like a Baker BM set as the one's supplied by motor factors seem to be too soft. ________________________________________ 1343Z4 coolant hose o-rings for sale198131 injector o-rings for sale |

if your a real nutter like me, you can always just pack/glue either side of the two rubber pyramid bits with some lino or thin wood or plastic.________________________________________ the world is changed by people in sheds |
