Hi does anyone know what differences there are between the two ECU's? is there noticeable difference in the performance. I have spoken to Pug1off and they recommended the K6.

Both do the same, The K6 has a USB port that unless very recent is not used until the software is written for it
Mind having used most it's either Omex, DTA or Motec here, Allot easier to map, better idle mapping as well,
Emerald is just a pain to map as you need to save everything when ever it's changed.

does the K6 not have the ability to self map via wide band after you have entered the constants ie, target AFR max rpm etc?

so whats best to go for emerald, omex, DTA or Moretech? Im a newbie to engine tuning iv only ever gone as far as to adding a pipercross viper induction kit to a car. I now have some Jenvey 45 tbi's and im on the look out for a decent ECU and loom. Noticed theres a omex 600 ECU for sale at the moment will this be any good?

There is a very good mapper right here on my doorstep, based in Kimbolton, Cambridgeshire.

They do all sorts of ECU and are very highly regarded within race teams.

Details are found here

600 and 710, the only reason to use the 710 is if using 8 injectors or need to stick to the 4 coil pack's with these engine's, But as said the mapper is the main thing as getting the best out of the ECU can mean one hell of allot.

Mind if using Jenvey's make sure you use the longer inlet manifold as the jenvey one will only net you around 175bhp tops on a std engine, you can add another 10 to this number with the longer one

Pugoff use Northampton motorsport for the RR, If it's the best system is up to you.

+1 for these guys, they know their onions, they also know a thing or two about engines.

They are good on Omex to, they mapped my track Rallye and it ran sweet as a nut before I killed it (my fault, not theirs)
