Seem to have a problem with the Rallye.

I first noticed it took a couple more seconds on the key to start when compared to the 205, that fires first touch, the Rallye takes a couple of seconds.

Now its developed a misfire from cold, it appears to run on three cylinders for about 30 seconds, then clears and is fine. Once it

have you checked the battery?

if you rev it a bit when you first start it, does it clear quicker?

i ask as i had a problem with a previous peugeot where it did this, ended up being a knackered battery, and the sensors werent getting correct voltage etc.

id be getting the battery checked just to eliminate this.

Have you noticed a pressure build up in the coolant sytem at all?

When my head gasket went it was blowing into the coolant system on 1 and 2 and pressurizing it, then when it was left the pressure was pushing moisture back into the cylinder causing a missfire from cold! The missfire would dissapear after the moisture had been f*cked of down the exhaust.

If it is this you can stop the missfire by bleeding the coolant system ie opening the coolant filler cap to allow all the pressure to disperse after a drive which worked for me.

When this happened to mine I didnt drop any power or have any custard in the collant sytem or oil!

Not saying it is this but it could be a possibility!

Darkgti6, I have a nasty feeling your right...

The car kicks out a lot of white steam (smells coolanty) when its started too, oh dear...

Also, the radiator cap does hiss when its turned off after a blast

I'll get the coolant system pressure tested.

I'd get it apart ASAP tbh, you don't want an irreparable groove in the head where its been leaking under immense pressure creating basically a water jet cutter!

Or water in the oil knocking out the bottom end.
