The colour is an astor-based-homebrew Wink

Mmmm the wrecked 6 I was going to pick up seemed to be an xsi Crazy

Also done fitting the exhaust system today,

so devil backbox, devil centresection, devil decat and gti6 exhaust manifold (heatwrapped)

the difference is immense Shock engine runs very smooth now, also much more torque in lower revs and a slight gain in power

The smell coming from the heatwrap/manifold is unbearable though :/ And the decat is hitting the subframe when accelerating Sad

But the sound Hyper silent in neutral, but verryyy raspy when revving (only car's sound I can compare it to is an f430 :p )

Also getting a 106gti tomorrow (not sure what we'll do with it, maybe track it)

Getting a lot of bad response about the sound (here in Belgium) but I think I kind of like it Big grin

devil2
&
devil1

and a pic in the snow:

Allright, started saving some parts to unleash some more horsies..

bmc cda (from toonboy on here)

Still need to figure out what extra pieces i need to get it fitted properly :p

gti6 cams

Will be buying new pug-pulleys, they're not too expensive so..

I may have them regrinded (reground?) if I can find someone around here...

Next up (when money-flow allows it) will be a (rich-w?) crank pulley and a gti6 inlet

As I've already got a spare xu7jp4 laying around Wink

Wheel related, got rid of the shitty AEZ's and got some 16"x7 Enkei tarmac evo forged rims
(still refurbing them as the previous owner wrecked them Sad )

On the interior I did this:

And moved the rear speaker from the parcel shelf to the sides:

Big grin

indeed, no catalic converter, no centre silencer and the rear 'thing' is hardly to be called a silencer; I also think thats the one causing the well... 'raspy' sound.
Looks like this:

(thank god I've still got the blue part in it)

in the meanwhile:

(old sparkplugs left and right the new ones, NGK with double ground)

The weird thing is, it wasn't noticeable in high rpm...

Ok, it was a little rough under 2.5k rpm but I related that to the decat... Doh

Hopefully solved now..
(and pray it didn't hit a valve or something on it's way out Erm? )
Though I keep wondering how something like this could happen..

couple of new pics of last summer:

wintermode:
(on winterwheels+tyres)

very very dirty atm Sad

also found a new place to put the tweeters, its very hard to get them decently aligned at the standard location, so I found a solution for that Big grin (sadly I lost the pics, so will have to wait till I make some new ones)

and getting a dry-cell battery this weekend because my original battery is dying so might as well upgrade Razz

The mpg-problem got fix too. Apparently the fuel pressure regulator was fubared and only giving about 2.2bar pressure while it should be 3bar, popped a new one in and chanced the coolant temp. sensor as well (just to be sure lol). Mpg is looking better again!

You like swapping your rims, do you have a different set for each month of the year? Wink

I am actually Jealous of you purely because you have an Astor Dry, looks mint I have to say. Cool The rear splitter is a nice subtle touch want one for my 6 somewhen did you by any chance order it from Ecosse?

Edit: Not sure what it is about Astor, when clean and polished it looks Love but when its dirty like the above pics it looks Thumbs down

*counts his rims* 6 sets in the garage atm, only 4 in use so a set every season Happy

the splitter is indeed from ecosse

and 'astor', this ain't ordinary astor, it's a modified colour (based on astor) which I used when the car got its complete respray. Its awesome, even if I say so myself Big grin

I really want your 306!Smile
Question about the exhaust mods-
The GTi-6 exhaust manifold: What else do you need besides the manifold?
and did you fit a GTi6 system all the way down or was it for the 1.8 engine?
