Hi all,

I'm having an issue connecting to my phase 3 AC control system via PP2000.

The AC was working fine when I parked the car over winter.

I can't see any signs of leaks, condenser looks new still and the pump housing is also dry.

I've not had chance to get some gauges on the system yet but the issue with PP2000 not being able to connect to the control system is making me think its a electrical issue.

This is what comes up on the global test.

Someone said that the car doesn't have a control unit for ac but it shows ok on my estate.

Does anyone know where the control unit is for the AC?

I did hear it might be in the temp/speed controls in the centre dash.

I’m not sure about an air con ECU but if I was in the mood for betting I’d say it’s simply lost it’s gas. The system on these cars is not know for being exactly hard wearing, the old saying with Aircon is use it or lose it, the seals dry up in the compressor when not being used. I’d get the gas checked before you delve into anything else, just my 2ps worth.

I fully reconditioned mine when I bought the car about 15 years ago, coating the aluminium pipes with laquer and using all stainless fixings and rubber. It lasted over ten years before the condenser needed replacing.

I use it regularly and is still ice cold.
