What does the RS in the XU10J4RS engine code stand for? If it stands for anything that is LOL

not a bloody clue LOL

they called the high spec EW 180ps engine the EW10J4S following along similar lines, think the standard was a 138 J4, there was a direct injection EW10A.

XU's were 155bhp XU10J4, 150bhp XU10J4D, 135 bhp J4R, 167 bhp J4RS, XU7 was just a J4 and JP4 both 115 bhp. 160bhp XU9J4 and 148bhp XU9J4Z for the cat version.

the original 106 gti was a 120bhp J4, later ones were 110 bhp JP4 and the 125 bhp C2 vts used the JP4S.


but yeah, no idea really

That is some knowledge Thumbs up

I know that RS is used a fair bit by other car manufactures so wondered if it was in the same sort of thing for the Pug.
