Got a problem with my 99 gti-6...

got fuel spraying out at high pressure when car running or ignition turned on.

Fuel is spraying from a hose coming out of what looks like the fuel filter?

Any suggestions on how to fix? I'm guessing the fuel line runs all thew way to the front of the engine in 1 piece?

The fuel filters not been replaced for a looong time. Worth doing as well?

Thanks for looking!

Richard

sleeve it with 8mm fuel hose and two fuel hose clips, or get a new fuel line

I'm guessing to sleeve it I cut the hose where its leaking (hack saw?) and push both ends into an 8mm fuel like sleeve?

What clips would be needed to secure it?

Temporary or OK as a permanent fix?

If I go the route of buying a new fuel line, how long is it and where does the other end of the fuel line connect to?

Does it come from Peugeot with fittings for the fuel filter? and other end?

Anyone know what part number?

Thanks!

Richard

I've had a similar problem, if it was me I'd speak to pug-306 and see if he's got the complete line from a car he's breaking, it's a bit of a faff to change it but it's a fit and forget solution..... Thumbs up
*Edit* it runs from the filter all the way to the fuel rail.

yeah like Jeffers I would do it properly, but yes you could cut it in half and sleeve it until u get a new bit. there are a few fuel filters "bodged" like i have mentioned but are ok and do not leak.
