Hello Fellas,

This morning I took the 6 out of its wintersleep to go to work with.
Car starts perfectly a the first turn of the key and Idles perfectly when started from cold, drives and performs just perfect.

However once up to temperature water and oil at 80 degrees the car will idle at 2k rpm and be fluctuating and make you look like a w**ker in town. Car has had new lambda, tps, Icv and i all so ordered an new air temp sensor to go on this evening.

As said car will only idle high but never stall on junctions like they do when the icv is f**ked. Also when I let it roll in 2nd gear without applying throttle the car will have hesitations and just drive like a piece of s**t. Everything above 3k rpm to the redline goes as it should.

So any booste fellas had this problem and can give advice on this f**king annoying issue?

Cheers and enjoy the beautiful weather

Have you looked at your new ICV to see if it has gotten covered in oil and grime? Might be worth a gentle clean?

Hasn't developed an air leak has it? Spray some easy start all around the inlet and boost pipes etc. If even one joint or gasket or boost pipe is leaking slightly it will idle high and get to much air in under low load.

That's what I was thinking... But the car would not perform well if there was to be an airleak

It would if it was sucking air in at idle or on vacuum but wasn't bad enough to loose much boost.

Yeah any flammable liquid really, so if no brake cleaner to hand then WD40 or carb cleaner etc. also work.

Quick reply on this one, put a new water temp sensor (ecu one) on the old girl and this seemed to have cured the issues.
However yesterday the car stared acting up again. No signs for air leak as well. The engine control light comes on every now and then but the car drives fine. If I take the battery of for 15 minutes and fir her back up the car is fine again. Bloody French electronics
Will have to read out the fault code when I have access to a reader. Ont know what to look for now though
