My ICV started to give various problems such as low idle, hunting, etc. I cleaned it and it now just idles low.

I cleaned a spare and fitted but that just idles at 3.5K until I blip the throttle. it then hunts between 1-2k.

Both resistances test correctly. Do you think I should try to clean ultrasonically using alcohol?

No reset the ecu after fitting the new one its not uncommon for the icv to idle incorrectly after fitting until correctly reset

Unplugging the battery and reconnecting is not a reset cant remember the sequence atm but its fairly easily available

Smile if you can get it plugged in for a full system reset is the best way but not essential

I did a full ECU reset twice, once with each cleaned ICV.

Did you leave the battery disconnected for at least 15 minutes?

Yes, left it disconnected while I removed, cleaned and refitted it.

As welshpug says, save urself the heartache and buy a new one, even if it works ok after cleaning it will fail soon.

I cleaned it ultrasonically and the revs still rise to 4000 and only lower when I blip the throttle resulting in it hunting between 1-2k. I got a new one from GSF and that does the same too. Strangely, unplugging any injector also makes the revs rise to 4k.
