Did you bed/run them in correctly ?

Not just go out & use them after fitting as normal ?

I've got pagid discs on my track car with carbon Lorraine RC6 pads, I have never had any issues with the discs 'cooking' as u put it, what pads are they? I'm thinking friction material on the discs causing the issue due to cheap I pads not liking the heat of spirited braking.....

hunt down the part numbers on servicebox and chuck them into ebay, I got mine for £18.

worth checking the early xsara vts part numbers as well as the gti6, also clio pads will fit on fresh discs.

I would avoid such things as green stuff pads, my one experience of them was they were pretty garbage and ended up with pad material all over the discs, as Welshpug says some genuine pads would do the trick.
